★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Camaleón is one of the best places to buy local artisan goods and art in Centro!
They have a few different projects from local artists. Beautiful handmade wool and faux suede hats, second hand fashion pieces in every shade of purple imaginable, high-quality wool rugs handwoven in Teotitlan (many with minimalist designs not found anywhere else), beautiful ceramics, and incredible handmade silver jewelry with precious stones from Mexico and beyond.
Another really cool thing is that many of the artists work from the upstairs of the store and can create custom pieces to your liking. So if you have a specific hat or ring you’ve been wanting, they can make to for you!
Sometimes they also have music nights with local musicians!
The coffee and deserts are delicious as well and there’s great wifi for those who work online!
