En 1790 existía un pequeño pueblo llamado Camarones. Estaba situado sobre un camino real que iba desde San Salvador Xochimanca hasta las inmediaciones de Azcapotzalco y atravesaba los poblados de San José, San Bernabé, Azpeitia y Santa Martha. El camino estaba bordado, por un lado, con una hilera de grandes árboles y por el otro. Había un pequeño río que era una especie de atarjea, por donde corría el agua de norte a sur y que culminaba en el río Consulado y este a su vez la conducía hasta el lago de Texcoco.
Mucho antes de esos tiempos, el camino adopta el nombre de Camarones, ya que dicha atarjea llevaba en sus aguas, unos pequeños animalitos que asados y envueltos en hojas de maíz adquirían un sabor parecido al del camarón.

In 1790 there was a small town called Camarones. It was located on a royal road that went from San Salvador Xochimanca to the surroundings of Azcapotzalco and crossed the towns of San José, San Bernabé, Azpeitia and Santa Martha. The path was embroidered, on one side, with a row of large trees and on the other. There was a small river that was a kind of culvert, through which the water ran from north to south and that culminated in the Consulado river and this in turn led it to Lake Texcoco.
Long before those times, the road adopted the name of Camarones, since this culvert had in its waters some small animals that roasted and wrapped in corn husks acquired a flavor similar to that of shrimp.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Es una estación muy grande, algunas veces esta muy concurrida, principalmente en la mañana, pero es buena, tambien en ocasiones su escaleras electricas no funcionan y se tiene que recorrer las de cemento que son demasiadas
