Camels Hostel - 29230 San Cristóbal de las Casas

Very friendly hotel, great staff, I was sick when I got there, and they where keen to help me and be flexible with my reservation. The garden at the back is divine for breakfast!

It's a comfortable place, can you choose between a privete room or a shared room to pay les. It's homelike, you can cook your own food. There is always hot water. It's near the center of San Cristobal, you can walk.

Nice big rooms with good beds. Nice garden, staff was good, maybe some more information about what to do in town. Nice hot showers clean toilets Good wifi Kitchen bit oldskool but decent. Replace water filter

I thought I will stay just one night ended up staying probably a week. Central location so close to everything but not loud since far enough from the loudest bars and transition streets. Normal beds, not the bunk ones. Clean. Great seating area, feels like in the garden. Well equiped kitchen, with toaster, orange juice presser amd ceramic mugs and plates. Finally no plastic yuppi! They even recycle!!!! With nice staff, although one of the employees might seem a bit grumpy. Dont worry, he is not going to bite you! Its the way he is?

We wanted to stay 1 night but ended up staying 5. We had a very cosy room with a comfortable bed. I would rate the cleanliness 4 out of 5 stars, just because its a little outdated and therefor hard to tell, but if you ask me it was really clean. They even asked us if we wanted the room to be cleaned during our stay. The kitchen is well equiped and really big, a supermarket with most you need is not far down the road of real de guadalupe. The owner and the staff are super chilled and really helpful. I'd say if your looking for a private room with private bathroom in a cosy hostel, this is one of the best you'll come across, especially for this price! Location is perfect, it is just after the pedestrian bit of the real de guadalupe and very close to the church on top of the mountain (beautiful view). We went up there several times a day, which made it a big bonus it was around the corner. If you do come here, stop by at the jewelry workplace across the road! You can do a workshop on how to make jewelry with different types of metals and beautiful stones. I highly recommend it!

Our stay in Los Camellos hostel really worth it and added value to our traveling experience in Chiapas. ✔️Very friendly approach by the hosts and the staff members. Despite the fact we arrived super late in the city, they were waiting for us to check in and were very responsive which was very helpful in such night hours for security reasons. (very well appreciated) ✔️Openness of culture and hospitality impressed us. We met and hung out with so many different people and cultures during our stay there including the hosts. ✔️Lovely big kitchen which is offered for cooking all day long and a common area for the people to enjoy their meals/coffees. ✔️Beautiful yard to enjoy the sun in an old traditional structure (there are 3 bathrooms and showers outside and inside) ✔️Superb cleanliness was noticeable. ✔️excellent location 6’ walking distance to the centre of San Christobal, which offered us the opportunity to explore the city more easily. Would love to come back again for both San Christobal and Chiapas authentic Mexican vibes and the lovely experience of this hostel.

Perfect location. The staff is very kind, the kitchen is well equipped, nice garden and everything is very clean and organized. Has a sweet and cozy atmosphere. Great value for money

Lovely hostel, and great value for money. Great location, super friendly staff, nice people, chill atmosphere. Beds are nice as well. The large kitchen and free filtered drinking water were the cherry on the cake! Would recommend this to anyone staying in SC for a few days.
