The restrooms are locked throughout the whole day. Release of the turtles in the water officially starts at 5 but in the reality you have to follow a very talkative volunteer back and forth for good 50 mins, until you loose any interest in the process. Then, when you're forming another line, having paid, and everything, they inform you, that you can not release the turtles in the ocean, unless you're wearing a mask. That's when its too late to go to the parking lot, where your car was melting for hours, and grab a d... mask.

If you're in Puerto you have to go here. Very affordable, lasts only 30 mins but it a great experience for the whole family.

Beautiful experience! The volunteers tell you about the turtles, and you have the opportunity to name and release your turtle into the ocean. Amazing to watch them crawl all the way to the water and flap their fins. Definitely go at 5pm every day!

Please be careful and go to a REAL sanctuary. This is just a business, save your 100 pesos to save this endangered species somewhere else. incubating egg clutches is one thing but trowing hatchlings into a bucket for hours so you can lie to tourist about their care and protection is another. this really affects their survival.

It's a nice experience and I truly hope the entrance fee (100mxp) is used to actually support and sustain the wildlife in the area. It would be safer and easier to release the Baby turtles closer to the ocean though.

Cost is $100 peso/turtle with all proceeds going to maintaining the conservation. The volunteers will give explanations in English and Spanish about the center and the turtles. You can't touch the turtles with your hands since the chemicals can harm them. You have to let them crawl down the beach from a designated line, which unfortunately seagulls hover around and will snatch the turtles to eat. The volunteers will throw sand at the gulls but not every title makes it.
