Food is not pretentious but good and very reasonably priced. Sausages are as good as should be in a German restaurant. Local beer is good enough and commercial beer brands are also available. Place is superb, plenty space, kids area, open air tables. Superb service and staff. Really worth driving the distance (1 hour from Morelia, 20 mins from Patzcuaro). Mushroom dishes, Sausages and Schnitzels are a must.

Awesome place in the middle of nowhere. Great food, great environment and good service. Prices are ok, since the food quality is really good and the serving sizes are vast, so, it's worth it. Views are nice functions they have a little lake with ducks and it's surrounded by the forest. I would definitely go back.

I am going to remember this place for a long time, because of the toilets. The place has only two stalls, and that is it, for a place with a 300 people capacity. The standards for the toilet came from the Middle Ages. When using the bathroom, I had to use one hand to keep the door closed, and it became very complicated when I had to clean my butt. I am not used to the acrobatics required. The food was just okay, nothing out of the ordinary and a little overpriced. Service was a nightmare. I really don't get it, why people keep coming to the place out in the woods. It is not worth the trip, your time and your money.

Definitely worth visiting and it is interesting to find a German restaurant/trout farm in the country side of Michoacan. Really enjoyed the trucha salmonada. Portions felt a little bit small though.

***Out of the Ordinary*** This place location, decor, ambiance and scenery is amazing. It really deserves a 5 star just for that. The food. Well we were a party of 8, half of us really enjoyed our meal and the other half did not like the food.....I won't to be too quick to discard the food. Let me explain, the presentation and portions were a 10, however this is German food. If you have never had German style cooking you may not like the flavors or seasoning. So, go and try the food. At the very least you will fall in love with the place and have a memorable experience. Weekends are extremely busy. Is best to call ahead
