★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very quiet colonial town square, beautiful church more austere than others in the region, good tacos right across the street from the "CAÑADAS" sign, also surrounded by local cantinas, but beware that some cantinas frown on female patrons.
The town is also home to the oldest working bullring in the Americas, at least according to my cousin I've not yet verified.
Try the local longaniza (chorizo) tacos.
