As someone who reads a lot of reviews prior to booking with a dive shop, I hope this helps everyone who is reading this and looking for the absolute BEST experience in Cancun. Diving with Juan Carlos and Cancun Scuba Center is truly one of the most phenomenal dive experiences I have had. Booking the dives was so simply, Juan Carlos was extremely responsive and easy to work with. We dove Cozumel the first day and he took care of everything, from a hotel pick up to the ferry tickets (included in the price of the dive). His dive briefings are so thorough and he asks you a ton of questions to help get a sense of the type of diver you are so he can best taylor the dive to suit you and your style. During the dives he is extremely attentive to every diver, paying close attention to your buoyancy and if you need more or less weights. After each dive Juan Carlos provides another briefly of what you saw and the over all dive. He provides helpful tip to help each diver enhance their skills and also asks if there is anything he can do better to make your experience more enjoyable. The next dive we dove on his boat with his crew and Captain, all of whom were incredible! The level of professionalism and safety is outstanding. The second day we dove there was another couple diving with us and Juan Carlos had never dove with them, so not knowing their level of experience, he brought along another dive master, Frank, to ensure each diver would be given the attention they may need on the dive. Frank was just as wonderful as Juan Carlos. We dove a third day with Frank as our DM and he did not disappoint! It was such a fun, easy dive yet I always felt that safety was the top priority and also felt that if anything were to go wrong, the crew at Cancun Scuba Center would be well equipped to handle it. The third day we dove I brought my mom with us to snorkel and Jose made sure she had a great experience!!! Juan Carlos did not dive with us on our third day but he called us later that day to ensure we were satisfied with our experience, and, in addition to that, he emailed us all of the pictures he had taken of us on our dives! I love diving with a local dive shop for so many reasons, and one of those reasons is, they tend to always take so much pride in the dives they have to offer and typically go out of their way to make sure their customers are happy, well Cancun Scuba Center goes above and beyond to give you the absolute best experience you could hope for! If I could give them 10 stars I would!!! Anyone who does not have a good experience with this dive shop needs to seriously reevaluate their expectations, because this shop well exceeded every expectation I had!! Thank you Juan Carlos and Cancun Scuba Center for creating such an amazing dive experience!!

I think that Cancun Scuba Center was a great choice as the Scuba Diving center to get my PADI Open Water certification. The service is outstanding. A great treatment, highly personal and close to their customers. Fran, Alfredo and Juan Carlos did an excellent job and I hope to be able to dive with them again!

I would say my first diving experience is awesome! They really gave us great instructions and was super fun. My guides were Frank and Jose. I was not under control at first, and Jose held me tight that I didn’t float away from the group. Frank lead us discover many cute underwater species, and he also gave clear instructions while we were under the sea. I fall in love with diving because of this awesome experience!

Cancun Scuba Center (CSC) helped my wife and I get our open water certifications in February 2022. It was the highlight of our vacation! We received training and instruction from Fran and Juan Carlos. They both were extremely knowledgeable, kind, caring, genuine, enthusiastic, and funny. We had a great time and felt at ease because CSC emphasizes safety. CSC taught us how to dive safely and properly. Fran and Juan Carlos made sure we were calm and comfortable, and only put us in situations we were confident we were ready for. They offered us helpful feedback and tips, pacing instruction appropriately based on our progress (Fran and Juan Carlos were happy to repeat information and exercises as needed). They were excellent communicators (above and below 'the surface'). The other members of the CSC team were professional and reliable. José did a great job handling the equipment, keeping us safe and happy. Capi skillfully maneuvered the boat to bring us to our dives and retrieve us after we had finished them. I had an amazing time with CSC, and we created beautiful memories. I hope to dive with them again, and I recommend diving and/or training with them!

Attended the three day open water certification course with my wife during our honeymoon. It was an amazing and unforgettable experience. Frank was an outstanding instructor. I may have never made it through this course without his outstanding tutelage and patience. The entire team at Cancun Scuba Center was outstanding. I highly recommend taking the opportunity to dive with this group and getting certified if time permits.

I am so happy I decided to receive my PADI Scuba certification from Cancun Scuba Center. The team was very supportive every step of the way. Before I arrived in Cancun Juan Carlos was available to answer all my questions in preparation for trip. My instructor was Francisco and he is an AMAZING instructor. He takes diver training very seriously to make for a safe experience but also helps you stay relaxed and confident to enjoy the dives. I was a bit nervous for the dive but his reassurance and patience helped me reach my goal in scuba certification. Also the captain and first mate Jose and Valentin were a pleasure to be around as we travelled to and from the dive sites. If you want a top tier scuba experience I recommend these guys, I know I will be back to complete my Open Water Certification next!

My friends and I really had a good time with Cancun Scuba Center on 11/27 and 11/28. Frank, Alfredo and Juan Carlos are so nice to tell us about any possible place that we can improve after diving even though we have licenses. Also they really took good care of my friends who are not certified divers. I will definitely go diving with them again in Cancun in the future!

A great experience full of excitement and fun!! Our instructors: Frank, Juan, and Jose are really kind, passionate and professional. They took care of us a lot and we are very grateful for their help! They also recommended us great restaurants in Cancun. We learned useful diving knowledge and had beautiful dives. The fishes and corals under the sea are amazing! We also went to the Tulum to do cave dive. Really recommend to cave dive after diving under the sea. Cave dive is also excited and has different beauty from sea. Looking forward to come to Cancun again and to dive with these awesome guys!
