Canopy by Hilton Cancun La Isla - 77500 Cancún

TLDR 4 stars, overall a great hotel. The room has a few drawbacks. The service is top notch, the location is convenient though not facing the ocean, the roof top is great and the restaurant food and service really exceeds my expectations. If you have a choice for room, choose high floor and near the elevator for better view if facing the lagoon. Room The room’s decoration is very nice, the furniture’s are carefully selected. However, there are some small issues shows lack of attention to details. 1.The walk-in shower’s door has a bad design in seal that it doesn’t effectively keep the water in. So you need to point the shower head away to not flood the bath room. 2.The hotel is quite new, yet I can feel the center of the mattress sinks like an old mattress. 3.The building in the mall blocks most of the view for my room, which is on second floor. 4.The vanity is in the bedroom/living room, so it’s problematic if one person need to use it early/late and don’t want to wake up the other person. Food Breakfast is reasonably good. We also had dinner at the hotel restaurant to use our hotel credit. Despite almost no one else eating at the restaurant, the food is actually very good, much better than expected. The restaurant service staff is also very good, but then we are the only people eating there. Facilities The roof top bar and pool is very nice. It has a good view and especially for sunset. The gym is quite small and the equipment is so so. The hotel provide filtered water but the water taste pretty bad, so it’s better to stick to bottled water. Service Overall the service is great, the staffs are friendly. One thing to note is the breakfast starts at 7 and since many tour starts before that, we won’t be able to get breakfast before the tour. We asked the hotel about this and the response we get is there isn’t much they can do, we aren’t even allowed to take some food back the day before and put in the refrigerator to eat the next morning. While it’s not really the hotel’s responsibility to solve that problem for the guest, it’s something that will differentiate a 5 from 4 in my book. How I book I booked via American express travel, this hotel gives a room upgrade and 100$ credit. I’m also Hilton gold so I get free breakfast. One thing to note that I had to push a little when checking in for the hotel staff to recognize Hilton gold benefits. Amex booking for this hotel is slightly above flexible rate so it should qualify for all Hilton member benefits and get points, unlike regular third-party online bookings. I stayed in room 225, which is a sunset view king room upgraded from a sunrise view room. For reference, my star scale is: 1: Does not meet any expectations, don’t know why it’s in business 2: Meets some expectations, avoid 3: Meets most expectations, OK if you have no other choice 4: Meets all expectations, recommended 5: Exceeds expectations, highly recommended

Went to Mexico for two weeks and this was one of the three hotels that we stayed at. We ended our trip here because of how close it was the airport and Isla Mujeres. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and very clean, no beach but we had a room that gave us beach views. The staff were all so friendly and helped us with all of our needs. The hotel is located in or by the mall which also makes convenient for shopping and food. Speaking of food, The breakfast was great, American style and not much Mexican but there are a ton or great Mexican places near by to eat at - given it is Cancun. The roof top pool was a ton of fun, was sad that it closed so early other than that I give it 5 stars and Would definitely recommend and definitely stay again in the future.

Loved my stay here! Everything was comfortable, clean and comfy! Roof deck with pool and jacuzzi was beautiful. Food is excellent. Lidia the massage therapist in the small spa was perfection! I would definitely stay here again. The staff was very pleasant and professional. Just a note. . . This is not a resort hotel. It is not on the beach and does not have the amenities of a large resort hotel. It is, however. a beautiful wonderful alternative for those who do not enjoy Cancun but need to be there for a few days. The beach is easily accessible. Canopy is a nice oasis from the other Cancun. A perfect place to land, to depart from, or to explore from.

Our stay was exceptional. For our stay this hotel gave the extra touch and we felt pampered. We could tell that the management must stress service. We have stayed in many hotels and were surprised that this ranked top of the list due to service. The room size is a little tight in a double but the rooms are well designed and the amenities more than made up for it. Great restaurant and co working spaces.

My wife and I recently stayed here for a few days. I was extremely surprised. First, the staff was amazing. Second the room was very clean and modern. The rooftop bar and pool is A+. Great view, great music and great cocktails. All and all great vibe. Location is superb. Literally it is beside a shopping mall with great stores and excellent restaurants. It was also a short walk to the beach. You can't go wrong here.

This is a very nice hotel - modern and new - with spacious rooms and nice views. It has a wonderful breakfast bar! The roof top pool is small but nice and there's a hot tub too! It doesn't have it's own beach but there are lots of free beaches close by. There are 2 malls for shopping within easy walking distance.

My partner and I stayed during Memorial Day Weekend. We were pleasantly pleased by the aesthetic of this location. It’s centrally located and within walking distance to the hotel zone. The room had these amazing floor to ceiling windows which gave stunning views of the ocean from our room. The staff was personable, friendly, knowledgeable, and so accommodating. We’ll definitely be visiting again. Highly recommend to singles & couples - the roof top pool & jacuzzi are worth the stay.

Loved this location. Very professional and attentive from the moment we stepped in. Everything was perfect. You have to check out the rooftop pool and bar it has phenomenal views of the bay. There is an infinity pool and small jacuzzi. The bar is open late. The gym has your typical hotel equipment (no squat rack). We had buffet breakfast before heading out to the airport. We paid roughly $45 for two people. Great service, definitely enjoyed the omelette. The best part was how attentive the hotel manager was to detail. We so happened to meet him by the pool and I briefly mentioned my mother’s birthday. Once we got back to our we had a pleasant surprise ? Definitely recommend this Hilton especially if your over the fiesta ?
