Over charge! They promise one price and once there they change the price on me! Otherwise great place to stay.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful! The decor, the rooms, and the restaurant with a great view across the street from the cathedral. Also very affordable. Awesome bang for your buck! Staff is also very friendly.

Cantera Diez is a beautiful historic hotel right in the heart of downtown. Perfect place to stay in luxury and yet feel so ancient. I stayed here for my wedding this past 19th of October. Everything in the hotel including staff, restaurant service and bar was amazing. I have only one problem in which on my wedding day front desk called my wife and told her that we had to many people coming in and out after I had inform the hotel months ahead of my wedding day, my mistake was to not inform front desk that I would have make up artist and photographers coming in plus our groomsmen, bridesmaids and parents. my mistake. Besides this small compliant of front desk questioning us back and forth I must say the 4 stars is what I chose to rate the hotel. Thank you Cantera Diez for the upgrade in the terrace with no extra charge. I will diffinately recomned it and if ever I chose to stay in luxury it will be this hotel I choose.

Gorgeous, unique hotel. We booked 2 nights for our daughter's baptism becausd it is right across from the famous cathedral. We got a free upgrade to the master suite which is quite large and has a spectacular bathroom with a hot tub made of cantera stone and small tiles. Unfortunately the room (103) was very noisy Saturday night as it is near the restaurant. Sunday night was much quieter.

Stunning hotel nestled in historical landmark. Absolutely beautiful and amazing attention to detail. The rooms are the perfect size and what I enjoyed the most, was the accessibility to everything the downtown core has to offer. We felt safe walking very late at night. Being steps to the great Cathedral you can experience the charm, the lights and folklore. The concierge service is very helpful. Access to bikes to cruise around downtown is available (drivers are not too careful though).

The Suite Cantera room was beautiful and had a perfect view of the cathedral and avenida madero. The suite has 3 balconies.

Beautiful property. Great location and view from the room. Walls are thin so you can hear the guests in the other room, but earplugs are provided.

We stayed in one of the rooms with a terrace overlooking the cathedral which was fantastic. The room was VERY clean and we loved the round bathtub. The bed and linens were first class. We enjoyed having room service out on our terrace which was great. Our server was Faustino and he spoke perfect English (used to live in Chicago) and took great care of us. The breakfast that is included in the room charge is great. The lobby and other areas of the hotel are decorated very well. Valet parking was a big surprise and they brought our luggage (a lot) up to our room for us. The only negative for us was that they had private parties up on the rooftop terrace both nights. The second one was fairly loud and went until 2:00 am. We should have been warned about this ahead of time as it was impossible to sleep through it. Hard to find a hotel of this quality that allows dogs, fantastic!
