Wonderful resort with very helpful staff! It's right on the beach and so you can enjoy swimming in the ocean or swimming in their lovely pools. Our bedroom suite had a kitchen so we did all the cooking in the room. Well stocked.. Room was quiet and and we enjoyed the music from the patio in the evening.

Amazing employees. I just loved them all, they were all so kind, friendly, and helpful. I have some complaints this time that I did not have when I've stayed here previously, however. Firstly, there were weddings every night. It didn't seem very fun or acceptable to be sharing the venue with wedding patrons every single night of the week. We were forced to be on the outside, looking in and it totally sucked. We weren't involved in the celebrations at all, and the people who were part of the wedding acted as though we weren't even there. Wedding patrons just rushed around like they owned the place and had zero regard for actual guests. Like we were in the way, if they even noticed us as people

Worst all inclusive experience I've ever had. Actually asked to check out after 2 horrible rooms, was finally given one that was better but still had major issues. Sewage gas coming through floor drain and a bedroom door that the lever wouldn't open all the way so trapped you in the bedroom if you shut the door completely. And that was the room that was passable. Drinks were horrible, couldn't even drink the blended drinks as they tasted like chemicals. The red wine was unpalatable, the white barely so. We ended up buying our own wine and drinking that. While they say they have a few restaurants to choose from, you're allowed 1 every 2 days, otherwise only the buffet. Since we were there for 3 days we only had the chance to eat at 1 specialty restaurant, which was ok but nothing special. No other wines were available at the Italian restaurant, good thing we brought our own. We were accosted by the bellhop as we were taking our bags to the car, as if we were sneaking out even though we had already talked to the front desk and arranged a late check out. He was super rude and took down my license plate and said he was going to report us even though we explained that we were just vacating the room and were still checked into the hotel for another couple hours. After I got done loading my bags we talked to the manager who didn't even ask who the person was. No map of the layout of the grounds, it took forever to find the restaurant. No details on the wifi, we had to ask for passwords. Nothing explaining policies anywhere in the rooms or in the lobby, it was a very weird experience to say the least. The whole place was over run with kids, we really didn't use any of the pools as they were super crowded. I will never stay here again, and urge anyone else to choose elsewhere. This place is run down and has very poor management. We stayed 3 nights in April 2022.

Stayed 2 weeks: Food was decent, service was great, overall friendly atmosphere. Pools were decent. Beach turned into rock on the last few days but if you walk north there is more sandy locations that are safer waves for kids. Complaints would be trying to get water: 6 of us and we only got 2 little water bottles, then a constant battle to get additional water every 3 days. One location a ways away from our room near the entrance to refill the cheapo water bottles that break open and leak if reused. Room was also dated with lights that were out, bath fans didn't work and holes in the balcony railing with broken tiles laying out there plus lots of bird feces on the deck. Unsafe for the kids with the holes in the railing. Overall we would stay there again.

I stayed from 26 January to 9 February. The hotel staff were brilliant, friendly and nothing was to much trouble for them to help you enjoy the stay. I found the food very good and the theme nights, Surf & Turf, Italian, Japanese and Mexican were very enjoyable. Access from the pool area direct to the beach allowed you to choose either beach or pool with plenty of sunbeds and shades at both. It was a 25 minute walk into Puerto Vallarto sea front.

This is my very first Google review - this is how much I loved my stay at canto del sol. The most amazing Mexican vacation ever! I stayed in March 2022 with my husband and 3 kids under 7. The kids couldn’t get enough of the kid pool, they played every day for hours! The depth was perfect (2 feet) so my husband and I could relax on the pool deck watching the kids have endless fun. The other kid pool with the slides was awesome too! The kids club was closed when we came due to Covid but they had fun and interactive kids activities every day (treasure hunt, bracelet making, making cookies, etc) which kept our kids occupied for a couple of hours each day as hubby and I got a little alone time! Outstanding service, every staff member was beyond helpful and accommodating!! The food was incredible, restaurants were amazing! We stayed at the luxury suite with room service and vip package which was a little pricier but definitely worth it! A great place to vacation and I would recommend to anyone! Will definitely be coming back.

Friendly and helpful staff. The entire compound is enormous. It is appropriately priced for the area and season. If you want everything to be perfect, the Four Seasons is not far away, and I am sure they can provide you with the level of service you deserve. Canto Del Sol is a safe, clean, fun & friendly place. Reasonable people will enjoy their stay here!

This resort is amazing my family and I have been coming for years. Great Service and everyone is so nice. When I was staying here they had amazing shows like a fire show were people play with fire and do tricks. I would come her again for sure. Sadly when I was here tho the restaurant wasn’t open because of renovations and we only had the buffet but Overall I love this place so much and feels like home
