Según cuentan los relatos la capilla se erigio en ese preciso lugar porque ahi es donde ocurrieron apariciones y manifestaciones divinas relacionadas con la virgen de Guadalupe. Ademas en la capilla se encuentra una de las obras mas antiguas y reverenciadas del pueblo, una cruz que tiene un par de siglos de antiguedad y que simboliza parte de la historia religiosa del pueblo.
The chapel of the Holy Cross houses a great history and religious tradition for the people of Tulpetlac and thousands of believers throughout Mexico. According to the stories, the chapel was erected in that precise place because that is where apparitions and divine manifestations related to the Virgin of Guadalupe occurred. Also in the chapel is one of the oldest and most revered works of the people, a cross that is a couple of centuries old and that symbolizes part of the religious history of the people.
