Now after reading the other reviews, I'm too questioning the amount I saw on an item because an amount was blacked out and a handwritten amount was underneath and no one in the store could tell me the amount. Super sketchy and super dishonest.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Terrible customer service. I had a friend who shopped here. Their prices are crazy high...you can buy the brand online for way less. She bought something here and then had buyer’s remorse. The online boutiques who sell the brand take returns. She went back the next day and they refused to help her. They did nothing to make the situation better (discount, coupon for future purchase, free hair band). I can’t believe you can spend so much money in one place...in Mexico!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The worst. Horrible. Be sure to double, triple check their prices. I was charged $489 for an item they advertised as "on sale" marked down from $790. An internet search yields none of their items at a $790 price point. The item was never $790. When I questioned the $790 evaluation, Maria Jose and her associates were unable to provide me with any proof that the item was ever $790. To make it even worse, I inspected the garment tag more closely and an amount of $290 was crossed out and $489 was handwritten underneath. The price was obviously inflated for the holidays and I'm the sucker who fell for their scam. In doing my part to make to better the world, stay far, far, far away from this establishment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Authentic place in busy Tulum and unique pieces. I love the fact that almost every item is multiuse. Plus everything is locally made by local artisans, supporting local economy and helping to create decent jobs. I agreed that might be "pricy" but people should know that your money is well spent when you know more about this brand (ask the staff at the boutique. They are happy to tell you more). I consider myself a conscious consumer so I'd rather spend my money knowing that I am supporting local artisans and small businesses than buying cheap stuff from massive brands that we all know the way they work.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The aesthetic of the boutique is out of this world, the customer service is incredible. Visiting Caravana is a must do in Tulum. Their clothes are handmade by artisans in Valladolid, whilst preserving ancient Mayan techniques! Amazing experience.

I love the style, the quality of the clothes, the intricate woven and distinctive knot details, the earth tones, the ethos of the brand and that everything is hand-made by local artisans. And you can see this attention to detail. This is the real deal, the original Tulum brand, whose style has now become known as the 'Tulum style' and vibe. I love the fact that Caravana has stayed true to its roots, still in the same spot, the same tent, with the same masterful touches of decoration and vibe. Bravo
