Dinner, caribbean grill royalton riviera cancun nothing like the photos on web, First appetizer, 6 fired shrimp in white bowl with side of sauce, nothing else, not even something green. Main Course, was to be grilled fish, was aluminum foil wrapped with little onion on top, in a white bowl, nothing else. side of rice and beans, in a white bowl nothing else. And no kids menu.. so sad for such a nice place. no kids menu at all. So do not go with small kids unless they love fish. This place had no idea how to present food. And it is ranked 4 or 5 Star resort.

I and everyone in my family disliked the food here. It was just ... not good. The jerk chicken was a dry chicken breast with an orange, wattery pepper sauce. The fritters were okay.

Food here was nasty! No flavor at all. The plantains were not cooked thoroughly. This is the first place we ate at when we arrived to the resort. The only place that you can eat at without a reservation (for a reason). They always have seats open and available because the food is not good. We took one bit each of our food and left. The only thing that tasted good was the curry cod appetizers and the shrimp appetizer. Long story short save your time and don't eat here.

Some pretty atrocious "reviews" for this restaurant regarding lobster and the fact that you have to pay if you're not a hotel guest... Really!? The restaurant is great, the food is delicious and the staff are really attentive. Recommend getting the catch of the day fish! Had grilled octopus in a chilli oil glaze, delicious!

My favourite restaurant at Royalton! The wings are delicious... My partner and I actually went to Caribbean Grill just to get multiple orders of wings - one in each flavour! The service was very friendly too.

Came here for dinner and can say it's probably the worst restaurant on the resort. The food was extremely bland and lacked anything Caribbean at all. The only reason they get 2 stars is service was friendly, and dining outside was great as the views and atmosphere was perfect for dinner. Had to go to the buffet after because we just couldn't stomach half the food.

A good spot for a quiet lunch or dinner when you're staying at the Royalton Rivera Cancun or the Hideaway. The lunch menu is limited, but it serves Ceasar and house salads, quesadillas, burgers, and Carribean pasta (which is a spaghetti Alfredo with shrimps) as well as a few other options. Dinner menu is more elaborate, with Caribbean tacos, vegan options, ribs, and amazing jerk chicken (which I recommend). Service is good, but I found it a little slow on our dinner visit (took 30 minutes to get appetizers on the table). Food is OK. If you're staying at the Hideaway, the Dorado is a better option with a more interesting menu.
