★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My favorite place to go for authentic homestyle Mexican food. As a vegetarian, Lupita fixes me up a big bowl of rice and beans with diced onions, tomatoes, cilantro, and avocado served with large hand made tortillas. Fed for the day!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beware when ordering, the tacos are very large, and the quesadillas are quite stuffed. Two tacos and one quesadilla were plenty for my wife and me. The ingredients were simple and fresh, making this one of the best meals I had during my stay in Puerto Vallarta. I also recommend the starfruit juice.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hubs and I stopped by here for lunch today after looking for some authentic local tacos for lunch. The Carne Asada quesadilas and tacos are amazing!! We could not have picked a yummier lunch spot! Believe them when they say the tacos are HUGE haha - When he told us they were big, I assumed he meant they were normal taco size (6 in) instead of the street taco size - but they are MUCH BIGGER! So So yummy though! We will definitely be there again. They have different specials every day- you will not regret checking it out.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Let the scent of roasted meat on the grill at the door lure you into this modest establishment and you will enjoy some of the most delicious tacos, burritos and other Mexican food in Vallarta. Lupita, who tells us she has hosted John Houston and Richard Burton back on the Iguana days, has retired. But her daughter now runs the place and was well-trained. Be sure to garnish your very large, delicious taco, enveloped by a tasty handmade tortilla, with Lupita's favorite salsa, the lip-smacking roasted tomato one with no chilis but lots of cilantro. Two tacos with everything, two large aguas fresas from the picnic jug and another taco to go set us back 165 pesos. And there's a long line on Saturdays waiting to take home Lupita's sopes, the daily special, stuffed with a mouth-watering selection of everything delicious.
