★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There is nothing quite like Carnitas ... shreded pit roasted pork. This cooking technique draws out the flavor and aroma of the pork leaving it incredibly tender. Whether served as an entree unto itself, or in a torte (a petite sandwich) with a good dose of salsa (of whatever temperature you can tollerate), Carnitas is a perfect meal.
In Mazatlan, El Bigote embodies all that is excellent and addictive to this highly Mexican form of slow-roasted pork. El Bigote's locations open at 9 am, and stay open till they run out of food (usually about 3 pm). Honestly, you haven't lived till you've had a torta de lomo (pork shoulder tort) for breakfast ... if you have a hard time waking up in the morning, this will fix it. Enjoy!

Cheap prices and the famous sauce I had several drops and it was nice... I rarely eat spicy.. Place is near beach I recommend

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It takes a long time to get your food. Not because the waitresses are not working hard. It's because it's very busy. I'm thinking hire someone specifically for the take out orders and 2 for the seating customers. Would be more stars but 20 minutes after you order is a long time when the food is only carnitas and it's already cooked.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tasty tacos and quesadillas. Friendly servers. Nice atmosphere. Our Spanish isn't great but there was one lady there (I don't know if she was the owner/manager) that spoke English so we could communicate even when our Spanish wasn't good enough.
