Carpinteria created a custom credenza and matching nightstands for my new condo. Their work was outstanding, the items came out exactly as I wanted and the turn around time was less than 30 days. Highly recommend them for their work and customer service!

I dont recommend them. The owner is lying about everything, the quality is very poor and has nothing to do with the furniture in their showroom. Prices are high. Total Scam!!

If I could give zero stars then I would. I ordered a new bedroom set, dining table, coffee table and 2 upholstered custom chairs. I have had multiple problems that the owner refuses to address. I fully paid for the order, but I don't even have everything in my possession. 1. The bedroom set is amazing, but several edges were delivered chipped and Carpinteria have refused to fix it. They kept telling me someone else will come, but never did. 2. The coffee table has a large crack in the wood. The owner said it would be redone, but after a couple of months they simply re-delivered the same table. 3. The chairs were built wrong. Even though they had very precise measurements of the overall chair and the seat, they built the chairs 8 inches too deep, and it makes the chairs unusable. The owner promised to redo the chairs, but all they appeared to do was slightly change the angle of the back, which did not resolve the issue. I offered to accept different chairs instead, but the owner refuses to correct the mistake. I even have in writing that they acknowledge the mistake and will make new chairs, but months later they change their mind and refuse to address the issues. He picked up the chairs, therefore now he has the chairs and my money. Some people might call that theft! While the quality of the work is amazing, it is clear that if any issues arise, they will not address them, even if they are 100% at fault. Making matters worse is that the owner refuses to communicate directly with customers or reply to emails, making his employees be the ones to deliver the messages. This is extremely frustrating , in particular considering the cost of the custom furniture.

They don’t take responsibility of their bad work, I ordered some pieces with them, including a coach for my living room that was remade because the first one got the L on the wrong side. I payed extra for the Teflon in the couch and clearly they didn’t applied, I’f they did was poorly done. I took some videos that Michelle send to the owner, and he refused to redo it, he wanted me to pay for something that should’ve been done on the first place. He even accused me of lying that I washed the couch! Then we got a lamp that the screen was so uneven and cracked in the middle, they fixed it and it’s fine. After 3 times that they tried to. But if you want to spend this amount of money I’ll highly recommend you to go somewhere else. This place it’s overpriced and they don’t respect the time frame for delivery. Unreliable to the max!

PLEASE! PLEASE! Do NOT buy a single piece of furniture from this company. If I could give a zero rating I would. I was duped from the start with the fancy showroom and promises of guaranteed high quality custom furniture. What was delivered to my house was anything but! I foolishly contracted Carpenteria with making my entire house’s furniture. The furniture was supposed to be delivered over a 2 week period starting in early December 2021. I am still waiting for pieces. The furniture was delivered literally thrown in the back of a pickup truck that could barely make it up the street. It was truck loads of VERY expensive junk! The furniture needless to say was chipped, and damaged. Not a single delivery arrived without something horribly wrong, from wrong sizing, gouges, scratches, wrong stain finishes, wrong configurations, wobbly chairs and tables. Some furniture looked like it was hammered together from plywood from the Homedepot. Humberto the owner is the most dishonest, despicable business owner I have every dealt with. He is a coward, and to this day refuses to speak directly to myself or my husband. It is my belief that Humberto has given our order to an inferior 3rd party manufacture. Shameful! Carpenteria over charges for their furniture to begin with and delivers absolute GARBAGE! I hope this review warns other unwitting people to stay away from Carpenteria Studio. Our nightmare continues and I would hate for anyone else to experience the same deplorable dilemma.

If I could give a -100 rating I would. I have had the WORST experience imaginable dealing with this company. I was furnishing a large home and decided to go with Carpenteria to do all of the furniture. The showroom had good quality furniture so we felt comfortable that we would receive the same quality. Unfortunately the furniture that was actually delivered was TERRIBLE quality and damaged. More then half my pieces never arrived and it has been over a year since we ordered it. The owner will not talk to the customers and I have been through 6 different sales people who know nothing about my order. BEWARE!!!!!
