★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It was a cute little place. The waiter saw that we were hot so he offered to move us under the air conditioner and turn it on. My waffle was great. Ordered the waffle with fruit and ice cream. Hubby ordered eggs and ham and small portion of chilaquiles. He said they were good but missing spice. He said the salad that came with it had a citrus dressing. Everything was good. We were happy.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Honestly if you haven’t been here and you visit PV something is wrong. It’s is the best food I have had here. Not a traditional Mexican dish but so delicate and beautiful. The chef even comped us a second appetizer. They clearly take pride in their food and feel joy from others pleasure in it. I cannot recommend this place enough. GO!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 5 of us went for dinner and shared 5 different dishes. Each had its distinctive flavor. The staff spoke English. The chef too came in and inquired about the quality of the food.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 10/10 recommend if you come to PV! The food was delicious and the people were so nice! We got the Chilaquiles Borrachos, hot cakes, and the Huevos Borrachos with coffee and mimosas. Best meal we’ve had here by far!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Casa 449 offers an exceptional dining experience for breakfast and dinner. The talented young chefs, Angel and Jose were featured in Vallarta lifestyles in Jan-Mar 2022. Definitely check out their unique and contemporary Mexican cuisine.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I wanted to like this place; I really did. People told me to go here. I ordered eggs Benedict. It was served with a small side of potato wedges and mushrooms. First, the waiter gave me a menu covered in live ants. Second, the price for the Benedict was 165 pesos. Compare that to 95 pesos at Pancake House, which comes with bread, jam, fruit and hash browns. Third, they served it and forgot to put ham on it. I complained and they brought some ham out in 5 minutes. It was processed/sliced ham lunchmeat, unlike Pancake House, that serves a thick slab of ham steak. I can not recommend Cafe 449...overpriced and poor quality. Soco's across the street is much better, or go to Mi Cafe for a higher end breakfast/lunch.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Went to several breakfast spots across ZR; they were all solid. Cafe 449 was our favorite. Fresh baked bread to start. The green juice was perfectly balanced. Omelets were light with fresh, well-seasoned vegetables. Decor was simple but very clean and service was cheerful.
