Room was clean, pool was clean and location is a small walk across the road from the hotel. After that... all downhill! We were the only guests, in fact we were the only people in the 2 days we were there. There is no reception and no one to greet us. We did meet the help staff (who were preparing to leave at the end of their shift - we arrived at 3 PM) who tried to inform us in their broken English that they would call the person with whom we made the reservation. She arrived some 30 minutes later, handed us the keys to our room, the front door and to the gated door at the foot of the entry stairs. Informed us, due to their poor plumbing, we could only flush our waste, but not the tissue. This had to be dropped into the wastebasket next to the toilet! Told us they had no restaurant but could get breakfast a 10-minute walk to the next hotel (The Maraica). Informed us that though we should be safe, please lock all doors leading to our room. Informed us that if we needed anything to not hesitate to call, text or email her. About some 15 minutes after she left, we attempted to call her due to a problem with their safety deposit box. Never answered. Then we sent an email and again no response. Wifi only works outside the room, not within it!! When we left, no one to collect our keys. To date, I don’t think anyone knows we’ve left. All memorable for the wrong reason.

Wonderful location! The property is just steps to the most end point of the north side of San Pancho beach. Beautiful quite beach where I did sunrise yoga, view of pelicans, winter whale spotting, and amazing sunsets from the property & rooftop! I definitely recommend the property to anyone visiting San Pancho and Sayluita, great value! The property manager was very helpful in organizing on site poolside massages for my group as well as golf cart rental.. can’t wait to return!

We stayed in Plata for 3 nights this month. What a great property! I cannot wait to come back with the whole family and rent out the entire house. Our "apartment" was just perfect. AC was cold and quiet at night when we wanted it. But most of the day and night was just windows open and listening to the sound of the waves. The pool is super cool and I wished we would have had more time to spend there and in the palapa bar...next time. They have amazing beach chairs and umbrellas. They looked brand new :) It is a 2 minute walk onto to beach, and we had the beach all to ourselves most of the day. You can walk all the way into San Pancho downtown, which we did several times just for exercise and to see the town from a different perspective. There is home construction going on directly behind and next to this house, so there will be Mexico noises most days except Sundays. I enjoyed my stay very much and will be back for a longer period of time!

The place looked great at first glance, but there is some problems. The location and beds are good. Since it is winter period, we wanted a pool with heating, this place has this but the thermostat is not functioning, so the pool is useless, way too cold. Some of the rooms where missing bedsheets and towels, which was not fixed when we spoke to the management company. We where also supposed to have cleaning of the place every day, but did only get it one out of 4 days. No flexibility of check in and check out even when only one of the rooms we rented was getting new people. The WiFi downstairs only functions once in a while.

I had an amazing stay at Casa Aqua Bella. This incredible place offers a priceless view! Pictures cannot do the view justice. I booked the ocean view Plata apartment. It was clean, extremely spacious and it had a large walkout deck. The kitchen was spacious, well equipped and open to the dining area. I enjoyed watching the sunset from the deck and lounging poolside. This casa is a stone throw from the beach, where I did morning my early morning yoga. The gardens throughout the property are well cared for and offered eye candy everywhere I strolled. The finishing touches and decor inside made this place that much more special. The privacy in this location was unparalleled and I felt very safe walking by myself to and from town. All the tips I received from the hosts were spot on, making my trip that much more unforgettable. For example, I ordered a private one hour massage on the deck. The property is surrounded by gorgeous luxury and charming hillside properties and I enjoyed the scenic walks to the charming town. San Pancho has an amazing array of restaurants, artisanal cafes, and shopping. It’s a lively town but much more authentic than other places that are overcrowded with tourists. On the last day, my girlfriends and I rented a golf cart which was extremely fun for sightseeing. We also had the best Sunday brunch experience at the polo fields which was quite a surprise. We felt like we were at a fancy resort in Europe. Another great perk is that Casa Aqua Bella has a water filtration system for the entire property. You can tell that the owners really care deeply about their guests' experience and I was grateful for that. I am looking forward to coming back to Casa Aqua Bella with my husband the next time we are visiting this beautiful coast side town. It would be the perfect couple retreat. I HIGHLY recommend this hidden gem!

Casa Aqua Bella was a dream from the minute I entered . You are welcomed into this amazing space with a view that can't be beat . I arrived during Golden Hour, and when I opened the door to the large community space I was mesmerized by the light flowing in and the view of the sun sinking over the ocean . My apartment was beautiful and had everything I could possibly need . The accommodations were not only incredibly luxurious and comfortable they were also decorated with local Mexican art and a designers eye was apparent . Each room or apartment has its own theme inspired by the elements , which I thought was such a cool touch . You can walk to the beach, which is located right across the street and is nice and private compared to the one in town, to watch a sunset or practice yoga or go for a swim . You can also experience all of this from the Villa itself with its amazing rooftop views and gorgeous swimming pool. The gardens were such a delight to take in and there is so much color you can't help but feel completely rejuvenated after your stay here. Its also just a short walk up the beach to the amazing town of San Pancho that has kept its charming roots , and is not overrun by tourists and party goers . There are many amazing options for dining out and experiencing the local culture while you are there . It was a very spiritually charged stay for me and I couldn't have chosen better . The energy was just what I needed !
