J	JC MART on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hostal ecológico, es un sitio austero, no tienen camas, son hamacas con mosquitero y zona de campamento. Me rentaron una casa de campaña para dos en 100 pesos y otros 100 pp para acampar. Tienen baño y duchas, asi como una pequeña cocina con parrilla. Walter es un tipo relajado y en general es un lugar con buena vibra, no esperes ningun lujo por lo que pagas. Ecological hostel, it is an austere place, they do not have beds, they are hammocks with mosquito nets and a camping area. They rented me a tent for two for 100 pesos and another 100 pp for camping. They have a bathroom and showers, as well as a small kitchen with a grill. Walter is a laid back guy and overall it's a place with a good vibe, don't expect any luxury for what you pay.

F	Fuck You on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Walter fue muy amable en todo momento, pero su "coanfitrion" no tanto; me recibio mas a fuerza que de ganas, me dio una llave y se fue, explore el hostal por mi cuenta pero no sabia que si y no esta permitido, llegaban personas pero no sabia si dejarlos pasar o no por seguridad, porque el "coanfitrion" no me explico nada. Mi estancia en el hostal, no fue tan grata, si se hospedan aqui mi recomendacion es que traten directamente con Walter Walter was very kind at all times, but his "co-host" not so much; He received me more forcefully than willingly, he gave me a key and left, I explored the hostel on my own but I didn't know that it was and was not allowed, people were arriving but I didn't know whether or not to let them pass through security, because the "co-host "I don't explain anything. My stay in the hostel was not so pleasant, if you stay here my recommendation is that you deal directly with Walter

Tiene todo lo necesario para estar cómodo y relajado. La noche en hamaca esta en 200 pesos, me parece buena opción. I liked my stay. Walter is very friendly and has very interesting tour options around Sisal, which is also very beautiful. It has everything you need to be comfortable and relaxed. The night in a hammock is 200 pesos, it seems like a good option.
J	J Francis on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If you're looking for a niche quiet get away in a historic seaside mexican town then Casa Balam is for you. Walter & Natasha greet you very warmly into their place with a very "mi casa es tu casa" vibe. You have the option to sleep in one of 4 hammocks inside or pitch or borrow a tent outside. Walter will cook a fresh fish either asado (over the fire) or frita (fried) take a look at my picture of the huge fish he cooked up for us. Walter is a biologist and is very enthusiastic about the local nature reserve and will take you on a tour on his boat/paddle-board/ kayak to show you some of his work & go croc hunting. His place is cosy and is in my idea the perfect stop for backpackers. If I'm ever again in the area I will be visiting again. Thank you for the hospitality!

Do not forget to ask for the seasonal tours available (with food included is best) with the cooperative that the hostel work with. Spent the nights here was so delightful, hostel vibe and owners treated us So we’ll and very attentive. The vibe of the patio at the end is amazing. Go and enjoy it! #vivesalvaje #vivesisal Natasha y Walter son excelentes hosts. Los recorridos que da Walter son aventura segura si vas con mente abierta. A divertirte :)
