Awesome location and facilities. Host's are super friendly and they accommodated my healthy vegan lifestyle (wfpb). The jungle setting is amazing. Great place to rest and enjoy the sounds of the selva.

A high point for me to get away from the tourist main drag of Cancun and Playa del Carmen. This wonderful place among toucans and spider monkeys was peaceful and beautiful. Close to many a cenote you can hike and mountain bike the many trails close by. Malonie, who owns and runs the place, is fun, friendly and knowledgeable and will whip you up a great meal for a very reasonable price. She is also bilingual which is an added bonus. So good I stayed an extra night. Highly recommended.

We came just for 1 night and ended up staying 3 nights being absolutely happy :) Only because of Malonie and Ricardo who run the place. This was pure luck for us as we needed some help to confirm our trip planning...We wanted to make sure to make the most out of our Yucatan trip. To see it in an authentic way... Main highlights for me: - the place is VERY quiet. Which is what you really need after a long flight. Beds are good and we had a good sleep waking up refreshed. Every night. - Ricardo provided us with an extensive tips about what to do in the whole Yucatan area. He is an expert guide, who studied outdoor tourism experience and this was really useful. Our main aim was to explore maya ruins and great beaches. He made a few calls and hooked us up with local guides who know the area. I mean... this is BIG. As most of common visitors we were afraid of scammers... and thanks to Riccardo we got in touch with the right people already on the first day of our trip. We did sea turtles experience in Akumal with a local guy and saw what we were hoping for (several turtles and one manta!). We also did mountain bikes and rope climbimg around the hotel. Ricardo also knows good cenote sites to visit. Cheaper and better than the main ones. And all for local rates. Hell yeah! - Malonie, who is an excellent chef served us many times with awesome coffee (a really good one!) and breakfast. On our last night she cooked absolutely fantastic beef steak with potatoes and caesar salad. Everything (beef including) was organic sourced and it tasted like heaven. So dinners can be arranged here too which is very comfy! My summary is this: stay at least for 2 (or more) nights. Your Mexico itinerary may be packed but this is worth it. Here you can source valuable contacts to make your trip better in general, get a good rest and eat delicious meals. Cenotes are around, sea turtles are around, great meals available. I can honestly recommend :) Vit

I'm not sure if it was fate or serendipity that led me to Hokhmah but it was brilliant either way. I was treated as a long lost friend not a client so the word guest was truly appropriate. I was upgraded to a fabulous room at the top of the hotel with a balcony at tree top level. Perfect for my birdwatching. the food was fantastic. Breakfast was great and as an introduction to the "wilder" side of Yucatan this was perfect. The jungle is just outside the door and the area around is fabulous. I cannot recommend it enough. The stairs are narrow and steep so if you have mobility issues bear this in mind. There may be ground floor rooms but I do not know.

We reserved 2 rooms for 3 nights 2 months in advance. We sended a whatsapp 4 nights prior to our arrival. When we arrived today they needed more than one hour to tell us that they have no room for us. This place might be nice but the manager is not able to manage her property. And even now it is possible to book for tonight in several booking platforms. Chaos!

A weird unfriendly experience, we arrived at 5pm and other than the handyman who just unlocked our room for us then disappeared, no staff or nobody to greet us or tell us anything about the place. This would be ok in a city hotel but this place is really in the middle of nowhere in the jungle, and we didn’t know even how to get food (nobody told us that you need to reserve dinner a day in advance!) thankfully another guest we met by chance gave us information that we needed. We didn’t see the owner/manager for the whole 3 days we were there (we did see her in the flesh, but were never greeted). So it’s a strange place. This plus dogs barking all night made it difficult to sleep and a weird atmosphere.

The hotel is beautifully located in the jungle. It has just a few rooms with quite a bit of common area. The owner Malonie does an amazing job taking care of the guests. Breakfast is great and the dinners that Malonie prepares are amazing. The rooms are nice, ours was spacious with a balcony. This is a great place to get away from it all, it's quiet, beautiful, magical and we enjoyed the quiet days just hanging out and reading. The WiFi, if you need it, is very strong.

An incredibly good time here. The hosts are so kind and will definitely show you a good time. This place is pet friendly and a little inside the jungle. It is great because everything is pretty quiet. There’s cenotes do go to around this hotel. Came here for my anniversary and got the romantic dinner. It was super nice and romantic. Would highly recommend staying here!
