Casa Cejota - 68500 Huautla

Being hosted in Casa Cejota was as nice as visiting your beloved family in México. Josefina and her two daughters made me feel at home. I loved the conversations with them, sharing the dinner table with their amazing and delicious home mexican recipes. I really enjoyed the food, and for me, it was the best option in Huautla. The other guest were treated as nice as we were and we had the chance to share nice conversations during our spare time. Even is outside of the town, getting to the main square was easy and very cheap, so comute was not a challenge at all. About the mushrooms, they are a family that has it in their roots. I loved to share their point of view about how things are moving around this tradition and also their knowledge about the ceremenoies. You can also have nice intense treatments at their spa indigena house. Don't expect luxury, instead expect great views of the mountains, calm place to stay and a very warm environment. I loved and if I go back to Huautla, I will go back to Casa Cejota without a doubt

Amazing! The host Josefina and daughter Celeste were wonderful and kind and very helpful in connecting me do things I wanted to do in the area! The view is beautiful overlooking nature.. I preferred this much more than staying in the center . I was able to walk to the waterfalls from here. The bed was comfy and the shower was hot! I had an amazing sleep and it was hard to leave. Authentic and beautiful people! I reccomend this as the best place to stay in area..and especially to find the connections one might be looking for.☺️

This seems to be, by far, the best place to stay in Huautla. Celeste and Ms Jose will make you stay at home with clean rooms, plenty of information, and good local food, for breakfast or a small dinner. Spa services according to local tradition available if requested. There is also a small gift shop at the place.

Refused to let us make a reservation terrible customer service , they had open rooms and it says availability on google but kept questioning where we were from and would not allow us to make a reservation ?

One of a kind indigenous spa in Huautla Oaxaca, doña Josefa is truly informative and the staff is top notch. The locale is a place to unwind and reconnect with all the positivity of nature. The rooms are quaint and well kept, not to mention two of the friendliest cats you will meet.

She didnt let me in and kept asking where i was from note (I'm mexican) from the states and i did ask her why was that important lol and she said its important to know where our guest our from for our service so i guess they only like to attended (foreign) looking people

Josephina made this place. She is a very great host. We did a traditional steam bath and she walked us through it all even with a language barrier.

They are very friendly, helpful, respectful and kind. I really enjoyed to stay here. What I loved the most is that they care about everyone's safety and they treat you like one more member of the family. I TOTALLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO STAY!!!
