★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the most wonderful stays during our Yucatan tour. The staff is very friendly, accommodating and the entire hotel is family run. The rooms are very well maintained including minibar, Netflix, USB outlets and the most comfortable beds we had in Mexico! The breakfast is freshly prepared and is very tasty - made with love. The little goodbye gift at the end always makes us think back to this stay with a smile. Thank you very much dear Casa Chukum team and warm greetings from Switzerland.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This was our favourite of all the hotels we visited during a fortnight on the Yucutan peninsula. The proprietors are lovely, really helpful, breakfast was delicious, do have a cappuccino, the proprietor who made mine is Italian and knows his coffee! The rooms are nice, with a fridge, aircon and a safe. Pool is clean and refreshingly cool. They recommended some activities, we did paddleboarding from the Yak House and a romantic sunset cruise which was amazing, and we had bespoke veggie meals on the cruise where we could choose our own ingredients, they even took photos and sent them to us. Lovely place and good value for money

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ 1000% thee best hotel in Bacalar. (I stayed in another a year ago the first time I came.) This might even be one of the best hotels in all of Mexico.
Not even kidding. So what is it about this place?
Its the decor, the design, the space, yes, but without a doubt it is the people.... the family run hotel is the most warm and hospitable that you will find in all of Mexico. You'll love all the little quirks of the place for sure, but what you'll love most is the family who runs it. Thank you so much everyone. I will be back again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My partner and I visited from Germany and stayed here two nights. Greeted by warm and helpful hospitality, staff is a joy! Got a large bedroom in front of a colorful garden with a great pool with hammocks. Staff gave us superb suggestions for exploration and dining. Thanks!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing hotel with the sweetest and nicest of hosts in Mexico! Nice room and good service made our stay here fantastic. Would definitely recommend everyone coming to bacalar to stay here. Beach clubs and bars are at walking distance. Had a blast on the with friends sailing tour also. Thanks for everything!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I loved this hotel so much? it’s run by father and daughter, the nicest people. The place is super cosy, has an amazing little garden and great big rooftop. The room was big and very nice. Super clean as well. Really a little paradise here. Highly recommend!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful hotel close to the lagoon. We felt really welcome thanks to the very friendly host and staff of the hotel. We couldn't think about anything we missed there. From the rooftop terrace you can see the lagoon a bit but it is only a few minutes walking from the hotel. It is located close to the city center and plenty of options for good restaurants. We parked the car just next to the hotel, there should be always a spot available close by.
Several options to book a tour directly in the hotel, we booked the "making friends" sail trip over the lagoon which was very beautiful with the sunset.
The hotel has a great breakfast available if you don't have it included.
