Casita Colibri is the perfect spot on the beach. Right on the beach! In the morning, have a coffee in your king size bed, on the beautiful Mexican banquette, or on a lounge chair next to your private pool. Then walk a path beside the main house and you’re on the beach for a stunning morning sunrise walk, a day boogie boarding in the waves and watching for dolphins & whales, and then settle in with a drink to watch the most gorgeous sunsets you’ll see anywhere. The beach goes on for miles each way and you might be the only one on it! I had so much fun & complete relaxation here. It truly is the perfect vacation spot. The casita is a one bedroom with a large bathroom & lots of closet space and there is a full kitchen to cook meals and also a living space. I spent a lot of afternoons reading a book while floating around in the pool. For exploration & adventures, the town of Puerto Escondido is just 15 minutes away. Loved this town! Authentic, but with all the amenities you’ll need. From amazing restaurant choices to great shopping! I especially liked the two large markets. I very highly recommend Casita Colibri for your next vacation experience in Mexico!

I love this place. I call it home! I have stayed at Casita Colibri for the past 6 years anywhere from 3 to 6 weeks. Casita Colibri is a lovely getaway without breaking the budget. Casita Colibri is perfect for one or two people. The casita has its own pool and patio with easy access to the beach alongside the main house. The spacious bedroom has air conditioning and plenty of shelves and hanging space for clothes. You can settle right in and enjoy your stay. The living area has lovely bancos for laying back and reading a book when you want to get out of the afternoon sun. It is also large enough to have friends visit without ever feeling crowded and the dining table seats four. The kitchen, while small, has everything you need. The expansive beach is all white sand and is not crowded at all. I am not kidding when I say it is like having your own private beach. Boogie boarding is fun, the water warm and you will see dolphins and whales, manta rays and turtles. Situated 15 minutes from the town of Puerto Escondido you have easy access to numerous excellent restaurants and lots of shops to explore. Casita Colibri is a perfect combination of experiencing authentic Mexico while staying in a beautiful private home. I highly recommend it.
