fantastic hotel, average prices, fantastic staff, restaurant / bar in the main courtyard of the hotel, room was great but the bed was on Wheels which I know is a thing but yeah only one side of the bed is good for putting in some work so to speak

The staff was friendly. The room was ok, nothing special. The shower didn't have any hot water at first and the toilet didn't flush, but they fixed it pretty quickly. The shower head was weird. It didn't suspend a lot of water. Right before we left the toilet broke again. It's important to note that the door couldn't be closed from the outside, which means that everyone could enter when we were out of the room. The rooms doesn't have a safe so I would recommend not leaving any valuable things in your room. A positive thing was the cleaning service. They showed up every day and gave us clean towels, toiletteries and made the bed. Wouldn't recommend this hotel for a longer stay.

Comfortable and good locations It can use some updates…. Housekeeping and receptionist friendly and prompt to help and give accurate information The hotel has a restaurant, but the owner doesn’t honor the discount the hotel offers on your check in So, watch out for that Other than that Franco and Sandra (receptionist) are super niche and friendly We stayed 4 nights

A homeless mama dog found shelter at your hotel with her newborn babies. That is where they felt safe. And what do you do? You threaten to throw them into the street unless something is done it someone comes to get them? What is wrong with you?! Be an advocate and help these poor dogs. Believe it or not, alot of guests would think of you as great human being and might even help, themselves! I will never stay at your hotel and support you/this ?

Such a charming little hotel in the heart of Tulum Centro. I stayed for 8 days and quickly learned to love the quirks–such as how the rooms overlook the courtyard–and was sad when I had to checkout and commence the rest of my trip. While the rooms are quite basic, they provide all that's necessary if your intention is to spend the day exploring Tulum and the surrounding towns. I was obsessed with the decor which utilizes a lot of organic material and reclaimed wood, with the hotel situated on a colorful plant filled lot with beautiful tilework. I loved that there were bicycles available for rent which made it easy to get around; on my first day in Tulum I chose to walk to the beach which was fine (it took about 2 hours), but I quickly learned that if your goal is preserve time and experience as much as possible on your trip, cycling around the city is the way to go. For further day-trips (for example to Sian Ka'an or Chichén Itzá) I would recommend renting a car, which you can also do through the hotel. The staff who work here are all so lovely, they're helpful, attentive and warm...they were also receptive to me attempting to practice my Spanish. If you aren't someone who can fall asleep surrounded by the hum of a busy city, I might advise bringing earplugs to drown out the noise since Casa Colonial is right in the middle of Tulum Av., across from several bars and restaurants that play music into the early morning. Also, not to be rude, but I think anyone complaining about this hotel has either never set foot outside of their own home or have never stayed with family who live in the average Caribbean or South American home, because this is luxury in comparison. I will 100% be staying at Casa Colonial the next time I'm in Tulum <3

Would have rated higher, but the AC went out when we got there. They never had change, and it was difficult to get an answer about renting a bike. The check-in staff was very nice, and people that work there were nice as the room was clean and comfortable aside from the lack of air conditioning

If you have any intention sleeping while you stay here forget about it… … I assure you I will be disputing any charges to my credit card… I understand you weren’t the one playing the music but there was absolutely NO disclosure or mention music blasting/blaring most of the night (easter Sunday night no less…) while my nine year old daughter, wife and myself attempted to sleep. Anyone considering this hotel… I would highly suggest you look elsewhere. This hotel and the surrounding area will go right down the tubes purely because of the ridiculous bar across the street… Just saying… Suggest you speak up at a city Council meeting! Good luck! I will not likely be visiting Tulum again…Tulum of 1991/2003 has been lost forever… UPDATE: music went off at 2:08 am however they continued to pollute with other noise/out of tune singing ?… sorry hotel owner…??‍♂️…I will not remove this review in exchange for a refund…the small amount of money is not worth removing information that makes others aware of the situation…get your neighbors under control!
