Amazing place to stay in one of the nicest neighborhoods in Mexico. Ideally situated in between Roma, el Centro and el Jardin Botanico. Very nice staff, arty place. An Art deco villa with a beautiful selection of art and antic furniture. Charming and personal place. Un havre de paix au coeur de la ville. I totally recommend. Very cheap comparing to the quality of the hotel.

We stayed from 20-26 Dec, and we couldn't have chosen a better house to stay at for Christmas. The owners generously invited us to join in their holiday party, complete with a pinata and a delicious dinner with drinks and dancing. Everybody working at the hotel was super-friendly and welcoming. We stayed in the King room, which is spacious with a nice shower. It's also nicely sound-isolated from the street noise, and any chatting going on in the living room. Tall people should beware of the ceiling height of that particular room though. It's about 6'5" / 1.96m, and there's a cross-beam that dips below 6' / 1.83m. The other rooms have more normal ceiling heights. If you're tall, I'd email the hotel for room recommendations. For breakfast, you get eggs made to taste, plus a buffet with fresh salsas, toast, coffee, juices (including jugo verde), pastries, yogurt, cereal, cold cuts, and cheese. The bar and kitchen are stocked with reasonably priced beers and mezcals, which were great to take into the courtyard to unwind from a day's touristing. Most of the Condesa area is a short walk north, with lively street markets. If you keep going in that direction, you can walk to the Anthropological museum / Chapultepec castle in 40-50 mins, through beautiful tree-lined boulevards. We enlisted the services of Rogelio, the hotel's driver, for transportation from the airport, and also for a day-long tour to the pyramids of Teotihuacan. His fees for the tour were very reasonable compared to what you could find on TripAdvisor / AirBnB. He was a very knowledgeable tour guide, not only of the pyramids, but also of the local eateries. We would definitely stay with Casa Comtesse again, and hire Rogelio for his other tours of the city.

A lovely traditional B & B in the Colonia Condesa district. Hosted by a gracious owner and helpful staff. Breakfast is a high-point: excellent mix of traditional Mexican breakfast food with continental additions. The surrounding are comfortable in a homey way and tastefully adorned with beautiful art.

An absolute gem of a hotel. It allows you to step into the "fantasy" of Mexico City with its beautiful architecture and tasteful design. Meticulously appointed by Thomas (the owner) - every detail for the guests has been thought through. Quiet and peaceful. Great location. No question I will return here the next time I'm in the city.

I absolutely loved Casa Comtesse! It’s decorated with such a great eye for art and design! They made us feel welcome all along and offered help with whatever we needed. The variety of their common spaces made our stay all the more enjoyable. Looking forward to coming back!

We had a great stay. The location is very well situated. Its close to lots of great restaurants and only 20-30mins from the airport by taxi. Our room was comfortable and the decor/artwork through out the house was amazing. The host Alam was very friendly and helpful and spoke great English. The included breakfast was cooked fresh and when eating at the communal table we had some great chats with other guests. We will be back!

Absolutely loved our stay at Casa Comtesse. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful to the extent that make you feel home. Location is great with a lot to explore in the neighborhood. The building and rooms are quite charming and clean. Wouldn't suggest it to the ones who are looking for a newly build modern place though.

Truly a beautiful spot — we stayed here for one night on our way into the city, and it was well worth it. Amazing art, funky vintage decor, two beautiful patios (we are still not doing indoor dining due to COVID so the opportunity to eat outside safely was great), and our breakfast (including eggs made to order) was delicious. Hospitality overall was wonderful: helpful, kind, welcoming, informative. Much appreciated. I can't comment too much on the rooms — we stayed in a smaller room ("Ambar") with two twin beds and they were comfy. It met our needs, no complaints, but if you are looking for a spacious room to spread out in, I suggest asking for another one (they are all different). This was the last one available when we booked and it was also beautifully decorated, just on the small side. Water pressure and temperature was great. We would absolutely recommend this spot.
