Nos juntamos Walter D’Amico, mi papá y yo, hace un poco más de 15 años para crear D’Amico nuestro apellido de familia, quisimos ponerle así, porque en español significa «Amistad», justamente esa es la raíz y lo que representa nuestro restaurante. Cada persona que nos visita, cada amigo, cada cliente que nos visita, queremos generarle una experiencia única al momento de ser parte de nosotros.
Mi papá es un chef empírico, nunca estudió, pero ha sido siempre su pasión y siempre nos sorprende con cocina auténtica de él, combinando sabores desde la comida tradicional italiana e integrando ingredientes de México, haciendo combinaciones italo mexicanas muy interesantes. Es un apasionado, ama lo que hace, así como yo soy un apasionado del servicio, de estar con los clientes y de ver que sea algo diferente y único, que podamos tocar los corazones de las personas que nos visitan.
Y Casa D’Amico nace justamente de una oportunidad de poder disfrutar, de crear un restaurante en una casa catalogada de 1940 en Polanco, una casa antigua maravillosa que nos permite hacer una remembranza de una arquitectura maravillosa, una cocina extraordinaria y un servicio extraordinario todo conjugado en espacios maravillosos.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had a great experience here. They offer a full bar and I was able to enjoy my favorite cocktail, an Absolut vodka and tonic with lime. The complimentary rosemary pita bread with olive oil and balsamic reduction
was delicious. For my main course, I ordered the fettuccine with chicken and lemon, and it was the perfect flavor and al dente doneness. The service was attentive, friendly and professional. I will definitely return whenever I'm in Polanco.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The place is gorgeous, it´s an old fashioned 3 store house right at the heart of this fashionable neighborhood from Mexico City, Polanco. The service needs improvement though, the hostess first placed us on a table that were right at the outing of pizzas, too hot and uncomfortable. When we asked for relocation she did not explain to us that upstairs it was a wine bar and placed us there. The music was too loud and techno, a bit different for a italian restaurant, it was difficult to have a conversation at first before they put the volume down a bit. The meals were a bit overpriced and not memorable, and bread couvert comes before the meal, not together with it. 3/5 for the effort&decor. Oh and please tell the hostess not to stare at women´s clothing, that´s just rude.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have been here twice and it is always amazing. The chef pizza is to die for but last time we had Ravioli a la sirena, Sopa de Pomodoro and an amazing salad—but I forgot the name. Fresh ingredients, great service and delicious food! Definitely recommend!
