CASA DE HUÉSPEDES EL HOGAR DE GLORIA - 77720 Playa del Carmen

I spent 3 weeks at Gloria’s home while I took a Spanish course in Playa. Without a doubt, my stay with Gloria was the best part of my trip. Gloria’s home is even more beautiful and magical in person than in the pictures. The bedroom was spacious, clean, and comfortable. Every day, the best part of my day was talking with Gloria in the morning and practicing my Spanish. Gloria made her home feel like it was my own and treated me like a member of the family. I wish I had been able to stay longer. I hope to go back to Playa and to stay with Gloria again. I highly recommend staying at Gloria’s if you are in Playa del Carmen. Me quede al hogar de Gloria por tres semanas mientras que yo tomaba una clase de español. Sin duda, mi estancia con Gloria estaba el mejor de mi viaje. La casa de Gloria es mas hermosa y mas mágica en persona que en las fotos. La habitación estaba espaciosa, limpia, y cómoda. Cada día, el parte mejor de mi día estaba hablando con Gloria por la mañana cuando yo practice español con ella. Espero que yo puedo visitar Playa y quiero quedarme con Gloria otra vez.

Excelente trato. Te hacen sentir como en casa con calidez y atención. Constantemente están mejorando las habitaciones y se ve. Los espacios están pensados para el huésped y el ambiente de respeto entre los mismos es notable. Un ejemplo de que cuando las cosas se hacen bien, se puede exigir a las personas que sigan normas y estas las van a seguir encantados. Ojalá así funcionaran los gobiernos. La señora gloria es un amor

Nice neighborhood

The guesthouse is not far from the center of the town and the walk to the beach is exploring and interesting. This means it's quiet and not to noisy. The rooftop terrace is a hotspot. The biggest heart of this site is the owner herself. Gloria has such a big heart it is impossible not to love her from the beginning. Would love to come back :-)

My experience at El Hogar de Gloria has always been more than I could ask for. I’ve stayed there several times including during the holidays and Gloria and her family make you feel you belong there. The apartment on the second floor has everything you need to rest, cook in a wonderfully equipped kitchen and work with great wifi. The individual rooms are very clean and comfortable, and they all have your own bathroom and hammock. You have access to a cute terrace and a roof top as well. Gloria is an amazing cook and gives you the possibility to enjoy her Mexican dishes. The area is at walking distance from restaurants, stores, the beach and the bus station in case you want to take some day trips. It’s located in a quiet area with its own security person. I highly recommend staying here not only for the place itself but also for the hostess and her family who will treat you so well you’ll want to repeat when you are in Playa del Carmen.

The host of this home is absolutely incredible. She has a heart of gold. I am a host for airbnb and vrbho in Arizona so I understand what makes a great host. She is loving and caring for all who enter her home. I would rent here every time I am in town. Oh...and her cooking is the best you will ever have.

Stayed with Gloria for 2 weeks and had the best experience possible. She was kind, helpful, and made me feel welcome at all times. My spanish school sometimes felt a little haphazard, but I definitely solidified much of what I learned with her(and Coco!) during desayuno y cena. Wonderful person, wonderful home, she absolutely made my stay in Playa an amazing experience.

You will have an incredible experience staying with this host. She is incredibly kind, welcoming, and treats you like family. The home is centrally located and is minutes from the beach. The cooking here is also something you must experience. I will definitely stay here again!
