Beautiful and emblematic building, it is worth having a local tour guide tell you the history of the place. Unfortunately we were not allowed to pass to see the famous murals, hopefully they can be visited again soon.

It is an 18th century building that has had various uses through time.
From her room in the upper part, it is said that Doña Josefa Ortiz warned Ignacio Pérez, mayor of jails, with her heels, while she went down to the front door to meet him and inform him that the conspiracy had been discovered.
It is currently the headquarters of the Government Palace of Queretaro.

It is a building with a lot of history, if you have the opportunity to go to see it it is worth it, it is located next to the main square and sometimes there are people who tell you the history of the building and some legends of the center of Querétaro.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Big piece of architecture and history to visit in Querétaro. The building is housing some function of the government, but it also houses magnificent pieces of art. Murals and statues are on display, telling the story of the revolution, and the important part Querétaro played in it.
