A wonderful place to stay!!! Barbara and her staff are exceptional!! Every detail is handled and every issue is resolved quickly. The breakfast is wonderful and provides an opportunity to meet other travelers. My friend was looking for a place to buy and Barbara was especially helpful to my friend as she was to all her guests. Thank you all for a great trip. Patty

It is one of the most delightful places to stay in San Miguel de Allende. It is made even more delightful by the owner Barbara Poole. I don't think I would want to stay any place else.

Friends and I recently stayed at Casa de la Noche during our visit to SMA for a wedding! Wow, what a perfect little gem. This is a traditional hacienda-style bed-and-breakfast in a great location with even better staff. From the minute we checked-in until we left for the airport, the staff was attentive to all of our needs and extremely friendly. Additionally, the owner, Barbara, was always onsite and was genuinely interested in making sure we were satisfied with our stay. The breakfast served each morning was a perfect way to start the day and there were so many gorgeous communal areas and outdoor patio spaces to soak up the beauty around. Finally, the staff helped arrange our COVID testing with a local lab and made sure we had the proper documentation needed before returning home. Bottom line, this was an EXCELLENT value and would highly recommend for anyone visiting beautiful San Miguel!

I was in the mood to stay in one of the big, well-known hotels on this trip. My friend convinced me to try Casa De La Noche based on the recommendation of a friend of hers. I reluctantly agreed. I'm SO glad I did. We visited the other hotels. They were large and "soul-less." At Casa De La Noche I felt like I was staying with friends in a private home. The entire staff, including the owner who lives on property, went over and above for us every day. When I fell, someone ran out to get arnica to help prevent bruising after getting me ice. When my friend had a touch of "Montezuma's Revenge," they prepared a special concoction for her. This is in addition to making great recommendations and reservations for things to see and do based on our individual interests. And, everyone on property speaks excellent English - great for someone like me with very limited Spanish.(Surprisingly, we did NOT find this to always be the case at the big hotels - even with public-facing staff.) We met almost all the other guests - often staying downstairs to chat about our days and our lives. This was facilitated by the staff to some degree, but it also evolved out of the home-like atmosphere. We stayed in the newest rooms, which are spacious and comfortable. They are simply decorated (all differently) with a feel of Mexico. The bathrooms are lovely with walk-in showers. Tea is available 24-hours for free. Water, soft drinks, liquor and snacks are also available 24-hours on the honor system. With the heat of San Miguel, the fact we could just grab cold waters before venturing out each day made our lives so much easier than if we had to stop at a convenience store. I appreciated being able to enjoy our breakfasts either indoors or out based on the weather and our daily whim. I also loved that room locks are opened with a code - no carrying or searching for a key! Finally, this is an "arts hotel." Everywhere you look there is original art. The hotel is a short walk to the church, good restaurants, and shopping.Shop owners and cab drivers all know the hotel. I've already recommended the hotel to a friend who is thinking of going down to San Miguel. I would recommend it to anyone else as well. If I go back there is no question. Casa De La Noche is where I will stay!

This is a gem of a boutique hotel hidden behind a nondescript door. It opens up to an enchanted courtyard. The property is expansive and looks like it’s been built layer by layer over the decades or centuries. The rooms are comfortable and delightfully quirky. Wonderful place for a destination wedding just steps from the heart of town.

This was an experience like none other. I felt completely immersed in the culture and history of San Miquel de Allende. Everything about the hotel was customized to bring the life of the city inside. The spiral staircases that led to amazing terraces, the creeping flowers that bloomed in colors of purple, red and yellow. My daughter and I were there with a group of artists and the studio we had access to at the hotel was just breathtaking. It is in the heart of the city too so it was easy to walk to any destination on our list. It was such a nice place to relax and create. We will definitely be back.

I had a better than average experience at this hotel. The primary reason is excellent customer service. Every staff as well as the owner are very interested in you being comfortable. They extended themselves freely. Actually, they pride themselves on catering to English speaking tourist. The property is traditional for the town and has a local historic significance. It is not built in a modern Eurocentric style so is charming. You will get a more realistic experience of the area. Two concerns however was the bed was too firm for my taste and one room with another family member had too much humidity but they addressed the problem quickly. They also quickly repaired a hot water heater issue. A bonus here is an in room wall A/C and Heater. Many properties do not have A/C or heat because of the climate.

This place was recommended by the guide of a local walking tour and it DID NOT disappoint. The staff was wonderful and very accommodating. The owner and her assistant are delightful and so very interesting. The guests I encountered were very friendly as well. Breakfast is fresh with several options, all very tasty. The hotel is decorated with many different art pieces of varying eclectic pieces and offers art workshops, although there was not any during my stay. The location is great and the room has both AC and heat (the AC was a blessing this time of year). I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely be staying here again in the future.
