La comida mexicana es una forma de ver y vivir, exuberante, ceremoniosa, alambicada, donde la mágica y a veces ceremonial mezcla de ingredientes origina una prodigiosa gama de aromas, texturas, colores y sabores.
Es el barroco, el churrigueresco que escurre de los cucharones a las cazuelas, que se escribe sobre la blanca superficie de las tortillas, que destila el metlapil sobre el metate con la inspiradora combinación de chiles, jitomate, especias, cacao, pepitas, almendras...
En Casa de la Troje pretendemos atrapar esa sabiduría sensual de la vida cotidiana de México y fusionarle inteligencia, técnica, experimentación, las múltiples nuevas posibilidades de las artes culinarias y nuestra sensibilidad y talento para lograr un estilo propio, una propuesta que intensifique el placer en su mesa.
Al frente de nuestra cocina se encuentra el Chef David San Juan Colindres, especialista en cocina mexicana regional y tecnología de los alimentos.
Cocina fusión y alta cocina, aplicada a lo propio, a nuestros ingredientes, sabores, aromas, texturas cotidianas para lograr nuevas combinaciones y platillos. El descubrimiento de un nuevo platillo, decía el gastrónomo francés Brillant-Savarin, hace más por la felicidad humana que el nacimiento de una estrella.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I signed my wedding certificate here, they did not tell me in advanced that there was a fee for special events even though I specified what kind of event it was ovet tye phone when I made the reservation. In the end they agreed to wave the fee. The food is good but overpriced. The service was ok, the servers were very nice but they would forget to bring things we'd ordered multiple times.

There is much to like at this restaurant but there is also much to be desired.
Portions are larger than I expected based on other reviews and the food was delicious overall. That said there seemed to be a lack of effort from both the staff and the kitchen.
If you are in the area I might give it a try but be demanding from the staff.

Service was very attentive and the food came relatively fast.
We tried several dishes and we liked all of them; served in a beautiful presentation.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ One of the nicest restaurants I've eaten at internationally. Family owned and operated in a beautifully restored heritage house which I believe is over 200 years old. The staff are very attentive and helpful. The food was fantastic. I ate dishes that were fascinating in terms of their traditional, cultural background and everything was delicious.
