★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had to cancel my trip as I was exposed to COVID and had to quarantine. I spoke to Elizabeth and initially she said she would give me rain check for my stay but then she changed her mind and refused to do it. I will be charged the whole amount even though she will be able rent the room over the New Year's break. Every other establishment and business gives rain checks for COVID related cancellations. Very disappointing!!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a wonderful stay. Elizabeth is a charming host and the staff were gracious. Breakfast each day consisted of fresh fruit with yogurt and granola, with a choice of two main dishes. The French toast, apple ring pancakes, and omelets were delicious. The room was super clean and tended to daily. The other great thing about this place is the location. We walked to a number of restaurants within 10 minutes of the inn and the cuisines were as varied as you would find in any metropolitan city. Would recommend it highly.

Food was delicious and the service was excellent..Elizabeth the owner stopped at the table. Nice touch Will definitely recommend and return again. I made the reservation based on the reviews, but wasn't particularly excited about it.
Then I walked in the door.
The photos don’t do it justice. The room with its balcony was very nice but beyond that, Casa del Sol, with its lounges, terraces and courtyards, is a place to enjoy, explore and spend time. And even if you're not staying the night, its intimate bar is a charming spot to wind down the evening.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best place of all to stay while visiting Ajijic. Elizabeth, the owner, was there to greet us as we arrived and gave us a wonderful tour of her beautiful Inn. The rooms have been recently updated and are just lovely. There are many out door spaces if you care to sit and read along with a beautiful pool. A full breakfast is served each morning and the food is delicious. All the amenities of a 5 star hotel. Elizabeth hasn’t missed a thing. I highly recommend Casa Del Sol to anyone traveling to Ajijic. The location is great, right in the heart of the village and a car is not needed.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of the most beautiful hotels in one of the most amazing towns I have had the pleasure of visiting! Elizabeth went out of her way to be the kindest, most welcoming host. The rooftop is stunning and the perfect place to watch the sunset. The location is perfect for the lake and walking around the pueblo mágico. Elizabeth also made sure we had everything we needed from recommendations to a reliable taxi driver list. Would highly recommend Casa Del Sol Inn.
