BEST MEZCAL TOUR, I've been on a few and this was the best tour ever. Great Hostel with great vibes and the best mezcal in town! Jasper and Mary are fantastic! They are both a huge help with advice on what to do around town.

We got the recommendation to stay at this place from someone we met in Puerto Escondido. We booked two nights at the beginning and stayed 9 in the end. Sure, Oaxaca city is cool, but what kept us really here is this place. Jasper and Marie were extremely welcoming and helped wherever they could. They have a rooftop where you can chill, cook, drink and talk with fellow travellers. The view is great. Jasper also has a range of different mezcals. He's really into it and can take you to the farm where it's produced. Very interesting experience. They have a young dog (huerra) and cat (figarito). Both are super adorable. It's also hilarious to watch them fight. Could keep you the whole day busy :) Wifi was extremely fast and we never had issues with hot water. We had the double bed with private bathroom on the rooftop. First, we were afraid it's going to be too loud, however they were really serious and after 22:30 you can sleep in peace. Noise was never an issue. It is less than 10 minutes walking distance to the center. For what you pay you get an incredible value plus amazing people as a bonus.

Excellent choice when visiting Oaxaca. Super friendly and helpful hosts, a great panoramic view from their shaded rooftop patio and bar. Not only do they have the best mezcal in house, they’ll organize a tour to the Palenque! Highly recommend!!

Jasper and Mary are great hosts! Did a mezcal tasting here led by Jasper and it was a great experience all around with wonderful views from the rooftop. Would highly recommend.

A place to come home to in Oaxaca, where there's always time for laughter, good talks and mezcal. But also a great place to take some time off, to be inspired by Mary & Jasper about what to discover in and around Oaxaca city and for that matter in and around Oaxaca state! A great place with the best view to enjoy your morning coffee and a great terrace to enjoy the sunset. Highly recommended!

Best stay during my 3 weeks in Mexico. Rooms are comfy and facilities are clean. The hosts Jasper and Mary are very professional and will literally do everything they can to help with your stay. We asked to change rooms, asked so many recommendations in Oaxaca and even asked for help finding a COVID test center, they helped us with a smile every time. Slept there 3 nights and then another 3 nights with a friend. Couldn’t hope for a better place.

The owners are really amazing and I felt like home from the beginning on. They even have a little cat which was wonderful. Clean place, nice rooftop. Can recommend this place.

Lovely place close to the centre. Facilities (private and shared) are very clean! Rooms have all you need and hosts are very nice. Fastest Wi-Fi found in Mexico so far. The only downside is that the kitchen can only be used between 9:30 and 16:00. I would personally not be able to stay at this hostel for long periods of time due to this. We had some difficulties even staying 3 days. When you need to leave early morning you can’t have food, and you always have to arrange dinner, too. Especially, I found it very difficult to find places where to eat at night in town. Crazy to read? I know, it was crazy to be left without dinner in such a big town, too. If it wasn’t for this, the place would be perfect.
