★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had to leave anything but a 5 star review because the vibe and music here is awesome if you like jazz and good cocktails. But our group had horrible service today which started with our food taking an hour to come, for just fish and chips. We were chilling so not a huge deal. Then I ordered a drink and after 30 minutes past and saw many others having gotten theirs, I had to ask for it again. Another 10 minutes pass and I asked a THIRD time before they finally brought it. My friend had ordered a drink as well that never came so we just said forget it, let’s go. But we go to pay and the drink that was still on the bill, and when we explained we never received it the server literally lied to us and said “oh your friend drank it at the bar I saw him”. A) How would the drink have arrived at the bar and not our table and B) he was with us the entire time!! After all the arguing we still got charged, which is bad on the server because now we had a bad experience to write about.
Very long story short: Come and enjoy this awesome place but order at the bar to avoid the bad servers. Casa Franca, I hope you can teach your servers that customer service is the most important thing, always.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Avoid this place! I visited over New Year's Eve and experienced terrible service. First, the cover fee included a free drink, but when I was given the drink, it had no alcohol. Second, I asked a server three times for a beer but never received my beer. The waitress just kept saying I will get it, but never did. Lastly, right before midnight, everyone in the club was offered a glass of champagne except for me.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Some of the best bar food I've had. Cocktails are amazing. Guac is super sour though. Great service. Amazing live music! So good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Place is amazing.
Super cool.
Staff is amazing, they are very kind.
Music depends who is performing.
I have been here 2 times, and place is packed. They are killing it.
What is not acceptable is charging tip on the entrance fee!!
I mean common!!
Yeah, when u ask for the check they add the entrance fee so they can get TIP on that as well.
Are you this hungry?? Drinks are not less than $200 and each of us had 3 drinks, bill is $3000 plus tip $500! And plus $750 cover, and tip on cover too??
I never had this experience in my life in 33 countries that I have travelled!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I highly recommend this place. A combination of living room and metropolitan Jazzbar. I LOVE that! This place very much reminded me of atmospheres I usually get in Paris. It's elegant, but cozy & intimate. Listening to the live music (latino-jazz) gave me a feeling of how connected the world is through music and how much fruitful cultural exchange we can witness by music.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The Victorian home is beautiful, but not the most conducive place for a jazz night as only the "living room" people who have made table reservations (there are only 4/5 tables) have access to/view of the band. Everyone else sits in separate rooms where you can hear the band, but not see them.
There is a 150 pesos/person entrance fee, which makes sense if the band is performing, but I arrived at 7:30pm and the band only starts playing at 9:30pm. Also, the tip charge is applied to the 150 pesos since it is added to your final bill.
The cocktails were good, but the tapas was pretty mediocre. The potatoes cold and chewy, the bread mildly stale. It's defintiely bar food, just not ~good~ bar food.
Perfect spot for couples looking for a dim first date location - the dark orange lighting and the alcohol makes everyone look incredible, and the acoustics are loud enough to drown out everyone else's conversations, yet soft enough for you to hear your partner speak.
The staff are incredibly lovely, but that's more a testament to Mexico than it is to this bar in particular.
I'd recommend coming after 9:30pm if you want the ideal experience of this place. Have dinner elsewhere, reserve a table in the "living room", and enjoy after dinner cocktails with your date.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Had a spontaneous night out with friends and the jazz was on point and so were the drinks. It is divided into rooms so you get a more personalized space which added to the atmosphere. The band even let my friend sing which was a delight! Highly recommend!
