★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My review comes very late. My husband and I stayed at Casa Giron in 2000 or 2001. We arrived after midnight with the bus from Pueblo, and when the taxi stopped at the address we had some doubts what was 'lurking' behind the old heavy wooden house door. What a surprise when the son let us in and we saw the beautiful entrance 'tunnel' – we were sold on that place immediately! The family was super hospitable, we celebrated New Year with the them and the other guests– just wonderful. The large room (left from the entrance) had no windows but 2 ceiling lights of glass bricks. This kept the street noise completely out and kept the room always cool and comfortable. The typical Mexican breakfast was delicious. My husband could not eat beans and asked where we could buy cornflakes. The next morning the hostess waved with a box of cornflakes. We were pampered, and we parted as friends.
