I am a platinum Marriott bonvoy member and an interior designer and have been to numerous Marriott properties around the world and have never been to a Marriott brand property that smells bad, very tiny and poorly designed room. Did not enjoy a single moment of my stay. Avoid this property.

I am a Platinum Elite Marriott member and had high expectations from this hotel since it’s a category 4 but I was disappointed. The rooms are tiny and laid out poorly, it’s extremely hard to move around and the bathroom door which is made of stained glasses, there are some part where anyone can see from the bedroom to the bathroom. Service was good at least but slow.

Great Hotel with very friendly staff. We like to sleep in on our vacation, so it's great breakfast is served until 12. The breakfast is excellent, best one we've had in hotels for a long time.

Bravo! We had a four night stay and will certainly return in the future. The staff was extremely gracious and kind. We stayed for my birthday and a desert was sent up to the room and with an upgrade when we checked in upon arrival. Very well designed beautiful space throughout the property. Wonderful attentions to detail in design. The second floor patio with a pool was tranquil and calm. The hotel is set within a calm tree lined neighborhood walking distance to all the sites. Big thank you to Christian who made us the best margaritas we’ve ever had. He took the time to show us his recipe as well. Thank you! The food at the hotel was delicious and well crafted. Best French Dip ever.

I really loved this hotel, but I did have some challenges. They had a massive wedding party that took over the entire hotel for the majority of the weekend. There were literally SCREAMING drunk people all day and all night. The night of the wedding was literally so loud that all rooms were vibrating until 1 AM. It was miserable. Some things I loved: Well stocked mini-bar, excellent toiletry products, nice spa area (except the steam room was broken), very comfortable room and bed (but the layout should be reworked), very nice friendly staff, great location, excellent food, stylish hotel, lovely showers, and I have never seen a light system quite like this (controlled with a small metal bar). Very unique. Consistency really needs some help though. Everyday the servers and staff either messed up a bill, messed up the food orders, got the massages wrong, double charged us, forgot stuff, etc. We had to review every bill because we kept getting billed for things we had already paid for or never even ordered. I would return. It's a great hotel, it just needs to attention from management to tighten up the operation. Any please, either book the entire hotel for the wedding, or advise your guests well in advance that you're going to have a NIGHTCLUB in the lobby.

I was there for two weeks while I was shooting a commercial down there. It was beyond perfect and the service was amazing. Thank you so much for making me feel at home. The fresh green juice in the morning on the patio was heaven.

The most overrated and over priced hotel in Mexico. - Loud music from the nightclub next door (I am currently writing this at 1:45am because I can’t sleep from the noise) which no one at the front desk warned us about. - In Room 202 the window doesn’t close so this noise is even louder. - Barely any food is included if you book with breakfast included. What is included is a hard boiled egg, gross smoked salmon, old fruit and hard pastries. - Rooms are incredibly uncomfortable. No space to put toiletries, no desk, insufficient light at night. Floor is concrete and dusty so not a nice feeling to walk barefoot. - Bathroom smells damp and a bit like mould which explains the patch in the marble roof which resembles water damage. - Staff are nice enough but aren’t very helpful or caring and don’t speak very good English. Service is also very slow. If I wanted this kind of stay I could’ve gone to a nearby hostel and saved hundreds of dollars. Extremely uncomfortable here and unsatisfied.

It’s such an odd hotel…and definitely NOT a business traveler friendly hotel. The reason being due to the “design” of the rooms. There are NO outlets conveniently located around the room or for that matter on the walls. They are all located on the small ledge behind the bed; which the exception of a sole wall plug. There are no desks in the room, just a small tiny table and a low lounge chair. Which does not make it very comfortable to work from. The TV is a joke! They have an enormous empty wall and they offer the smallest TV I have ever seen in any hotel - it’s quite frustrating. The beds ARE REALLY COMFORTABLE!! The reason for the rating is not that this is not a “business traveler” friendly hotel but the service is TERRIBLE!!! I mean for an establishment that is in the hospitality industry there is NO hospitality. No one will great you first, no one will say good morning or good evening first. No one will acknowledge you. It’s a very stuck up attitude from the staff and it’s very uncomfortable from a guest perspective. Very inattentive, unfriendly and stand offish staff. Just a shame, hence the 3 star rating purely on the poor customer service.
