★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hostel has a great vibe. Everyday are tours for the guest to beaches, waterfalls and many more, with the people who volunteer at the hostel. Especially Dave is so funny and supportive. The hostel is clean and I had a very nice stay! Always again! Thank you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Really a great hostel with an awesome atmosphere and amazing people. There are always group activities to do in the day and everyone gets together on the roof at night to chill at the bar and then go out on the town. Perfect for socializing, but also super chill and great in the day time. Also breakfast is included.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best thing about the hostel is the stuff and volunteers that are there.
They are friendly and welcoming and always help when needed.
The location is good, close to the beach and many cantral places like restaurants, bars and more..
The rooms are a bit small, there are no hot water in the showers but besides that I enjoyed my stay there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Kraken is a vibe. When I was in Puerto Vallarta I stayed in other hostels and they do not compare or compete one bit. The staff is great, great people, it is managed perfectly. It is clean and the rooftop is amazing with an amazing view. You're going to love it. Dave, the current manager is amazing, he is welcoming and super cool. Brenda, the future manager is also really cool.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I've stayed there twice so far, for 4 or 5 nights at a time and it has a nice fun yet family feel to it. The staff and volunteers do a great job of taking care of the guests. Daily activities are offered, making use of WhatsApp to keep everyone up to date. The location is just a few blocks from the beach and boardwalk. Plenty of food options close by and even more places to try just a little further South or North.
On the weekends, they have an open bar on the rooftop. And the nearby nightlife does not disappoint. If you're looking for a hostel, Kraken is one of the best ones in the area!
