★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Casa Lyobaa is the most beautiful place to stay at while visiting Mitla. We love the garden, the swimming pool, delicious breakfast, amazing hosts. Our kids explored the garden for hours and ate pomegranates and a fruit called Carissa from the trees. We've been back once and we'll definitely go back again and again.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ There are not enough stars to describe Sylvia’s and Paul’s place, their attention to detail and their warmth. When you are at their house, you are home.
With so much space to enjoy by yourself if you need to, the property is so beautiful and so well thought. I loved staying at the Palala and walking around the vegetation. The rooms are so detailed and yet uncluttered. We are going back next year to enjoy all the new improvements. Can’t wait to see the mural and enjoy the Tezmalcal. Do yourself a favor and go to their place. There is nothing like it

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Casa Lyobaa is truly an oasis. The town of Mitla is magical and the beautiful Casa Lyobaa was the perfect way to experience it. We stayed in the stunning and totally private Candelabro Suite which was impeccable. Every detail so well thought out including all of the locally sourced building materials and artisan decor from regional makers. We enjoyed a beautiful fresh breakfast each morning and ending each day with a relaxing swim in the stunning pool. The hosts Sylvia and Paul were absolutely delightful and so helpful to us during our stay in the Mitla area. We would definitely return to Casa Lyobaa.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Syliva and Paul were fantastic hosts--not only are their rooms tastefully decorated, the space was very clean and well maintained. The property is in a beautiful natural setting, with a well maintained, glorious swimming pool! It is walkable distance to markets and the ancient archeoligical site. I felt very safe in the location, and Sylvia and Paul had excellent suggestions for food, shopping as well as where and how to get a COVID test to re-enter the USA. Also, their rates are quite affordable. This place is a gem!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The stay was excellent, The grounds are beautiful the atmosphere is serene surrounded by rolling mountains. If you vacation to Oaxaca and are looking for a relaxing time Casa Lyobaa is the place to go. An hour within the main city and only 75 minutes from the airport it is a convenient place to go enjoy nature and super close to many of the tourist attractions.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Casa Lyobaa is perfection in every way – our family of 9 (including 2 children) enjoyed a wonderful week together in Sylvia and Paul's beautiful home. The excellent pool, the well-equipped and gorgeous kitchen, lovely, comfortable rooms, and of course the peaceful grounds all provide such a wonderful respite and home-away-from-home. The attentiveness given to each space in design, convenience, aesthetic, and comfort is truly excellent. Sylvia and her kind staff are EXCELLENT hosts, answering all of our questions, providing suggestions for activities for our family of 9 – and a delightful breakfast each morning! We will certainly be back. Thank you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Casa Lyobaa is such a magical place. The property has a fantastic origin story and history, but also continues to evolve as owners Paul and Sylvia add beautiful gardens, murals, artisanal partnerships, creature comforts, and more. Every inch of the property is thoughtfully and tastefully curated -- it feels great just to exist there. However, if you want to do some touring around Oaxaca, Paul and Sylvia have fantastic recommendations for places to go, guides and artisans to learn from. We did weaving and ceramics workshops on their recommendation and loved them both, as well as saw some ancient cave paintings thanks to a wonderful guide their recommended. We can't wait to go back and experience Oaxaca and Casa Lyobaa again!
