Interesting corner of archeology in Yucatan. It is a house from the Spanish period (XVI - XVII century), but it was inhabited by Catherwood when he visited the Mayab to draw in his lithographs the majestic abandoned Mayan cities. Inside the house there is a bookstore and a chocolate shop, says you can enjoy cold or hot cocoa drinks. Quiet place to rest, talk, and even have a romantic moment with your partner ... No own parking, reasonable prices, card payment or cash

Really can't say. According to a local, it opens at a whim. Doesn't keep regular hours.

Great place to visit, when you want to know more about the city and the state of yucatan, plus there is a coffee shop called placer y delirio which was a great surprise full of flavor.

It's a very relaxing and perfect place to visit in Merida. It is a bit complicated to park the car because the street on which it is located is very busy, but the place is worth it. The food is exquisite, there are good vegetarian options and the coffee is perfect. The people who attended me were very warm and friendly, I felt at home. After lunch I went to visit the gallery where there is a large exhibition of lithographs belonging to Frederick Catherwood, really incredible, at a price too accessible, less than 3 dollars. I recommend that you do not miss this place if you are traveling to Merida

Delicious dark roast coffees, Mexican chocolate (hot or cold), scrumptious pastries and Mexican breads, and some very good breakfast fare, and sandwiches, all houses in an old colonial house, beautifully maintained, topping it with excellent service. Capacity is limited in the air conditioned area, but there are additional tables in a covers court yard.
