About Casa Nawalli Resort

We landed in Sayulita a few years ago, running from the crowd and frenzy of one of Mexico’s largest cities. We decided to explore our most adventurous side, left everything behind, and reinvented ourselves as part of this colorful, flourishing community.

aboutuspicWe were lucky enough to find this magnificent location -which used to host one of the oldest guesthouses in town. With support of family and friends, we decided to refurbish it from the ground up for comfort, functionality, sustainable travel policies, and an unforgettable overall experience.

The original house from the 1960’s was built with traditional rural techniques and consisted of several irregular buildings spread across green areas. We decided to restore and renew this traditional building style for the original constructions, while introducing more contemporary architectural elements in new areas. The rooms were all inspired in local elements of nature such as rain, coastlines, ferns, starry skies, dawn & dusk. We used as many traditional techniques as possible, while working closely with local craftsmen. This includes old style herringbone red brick, pebble floors, mosaics, cement floors, and beautiful tropical woods. Interior design elements also play with the new and old. We included antique pieces, repurposed, restored, and handcrafted furniture together with many Mexican high quality handcrafts.

Creating this place has been a challenging and captivating experience. Share with us at Casa Nawalli the materialization of our most colorful dreams, let yourself be embraced by awe and love at our exuberant gardens and gorgeous facilities.

One of the best places I've stayed in. Everyone was very friendly and helpful, even before we arrive Karla reach out to and proved us with some helpful information. Once we arrived, she provided us with a map of the town as well as some activity and restaurant suggestions that prove very helpful for our trip. Also, the house keeping staff and groundskeeper were helpful providing us with points of interest around town as well as calling a cab to return to Puerto Vallarta.

Oasis in Sayulita. Lovely peaceful place to stay with six well appointed rooms. Wonderful service with beach amenities available for free use. 5min walk to town but away from the noise. 3min walk to the best part of Sayulita beach with less crowds and lots of space. Tranquil swimming pool and garden atmosphere.

Absolutely lovely. Casa Nawalli is away from the noisy town centre, yet only 5 mins walk away. It is ecofriendly, with charming individually decorated rooms, a spacious shared living area in the main house and the most wonderful gardens, pool and outdoor entertaining area. Staff were super-friendly and helpful. I loved it!

Excelente hotel. Five beautiful and spacious rooms. Beautiful garden and amazing service. Amazing decoration all around. Continental Breakfast is so delicious that only if you want to try something different or more substantial would you think of not eating here.

Awesome little gem hidden 5-7 minute walking distance from the City Center. We wanted a quiet location but not too far from the action. Casa Nawalli offers only a few room ( 6-7 ?) inside a protected area with a magnificent garden. It is also 3-4m walking distance to the beach. I would go again.

Stayed here in 2018 and 2021 and both times it was perfect. It allows you to be close to the city but have a quiet, beautiful space to come home to. The staff, the property, the breakfast chef, the pool, and the A/C are amazing and I couldn't recommend this place more. I think this is the only review of anything I've written. It's that good.

Casa Nawalli is a pure dream in bustling Saylita! My friend and I were staying at a different hotel and were kicked out due to a Booking.com error. We were right down the street from Casa Nawalli so we thought we'd pop in after seeing gorgeous pictures online and find out if they had any last minute openings. To our fortune, they did! They had a beautiful king room that my friend and I stayed it together, and then I continued staying there for the week I was going solo in Sayulita. This is hands down the best place you can stay in town, and here's why: - The STAFF: they are the kindest, most accommodating people I've met on my many global travels. This is probably because they're taking the lead from the owner, Jerome, who makes you feel at home right away and literally will help you with anything (he found me a chiropractor/massage therapist who cured my aching pains in one session) - The AMENITIES: the gardens are absolutely gorgeous. it's like living in a jungle paradise oasis even though you're 2 blocks from the beach and a 2-minute walk into the craziness of downtown Sayulita. The heated pool is wonderful, the chaise lounge chairs are super comfortable, and it's surrounded by beautiful fire pits which makes it glow in a magical light at night. - The BREAKFAST: cooked fresh for you everyday (and included in the price), I ate like a queen here. Fresh eggs, fruit, yogurt, peanut/almond butter, and the most delicious banana bread you can find (not to mention the super tasty and strong coffee!). I so enjoyed my breakfast time here and felt super pampered each morning. - A/C and WIFI - both amazing. my room was a respite from the heat and I enjoyed spending time in there both because of the beautiful wicker furniture, dark antique wood armoirs / closet doors / tables, AND because the A/C was super strong and reliable - as was the WiFi! I watched movies several nights on my iPad without a problem. - The RESTAURANT: Attached to the Casa is Henshin Sushi where you can get literally the freshest, most delicate tasting nigiri in all of western Mexico (maybe even the whole country?). I did the Omikaze, which is traditional Japanese style 3-5 course dinner and enjoyed every second, and every bite. The chef and his brother run a beautiful kitchen and serve you each nigiri with pride. I would suggest sitting at the bar with them because they're so friendly and you can learn so much about sushi (and Mexico!). Need I say more! Don't look further in Sayulita (as I did before I found Casa Nawalli) and just stay here - you won't regret it! It's a pure gem!

We will forever remember the gorgeous days we spent in Nawalli, by the pool, in the dreamy surroundings. It's a special place, and with only 7 rooms you feel like you have it all to yourself. It's far enough away from the hectic center of Sayulita to feel like an oasis of peace - we slept well every night. The staff went above and beyond to help us, we even borrowed the grill one night for dinner and the chef helped us with a vinaigrette, and charcoal! We only wished we could stay longer. The wifi was good enough for video calls and working, and I had a nice set up in the living room. It was an amazing experience.
