★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hotel was charming, accommodating, friendly and clean. Thanks for a fabulous stay. Way better than the 2 star rating it has. Old world charm and lovely location.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Positive:
- Good decoration, location (300m from the main square), huge bedrooms, comfortable bed
Negative:
- The hotel self entitled as "boutique" but it's not boutique at all. They don't have anything at the hotel, every service is from 3rd party (masage, breakfast, etc).
- The hotel is divided in 3 buildings: the main one with a "terraza" and the other two without anything. The entrances are separated, and the building where we stayed was in front of a bus stop.
- The room had a bath, but without the drain lid so we could fill it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The best place to stay! The staff is super friendly and very attentive. Close to everything, walking distance to the main square, main attractions and delicious restaurants. I can’t wait for the rooftop pool to be ready!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Bait-and-switched here. Booked what looked to be a lovely room for three nights and we were ushered into a closet. No windows. The king bed only left 24" of space from each wall. Seriously hardly room to walk around. Room was accessible only from the street entrance. The entrance was dark. We refused to stay there, so they showed us another closet up a dark, dangerous staircase. Then they offered to show us the real rooms for $50 more per night. Booking.com needs to remove these thieves.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Wonderful boutique hotel for an amazing price. We stayed in a king balcony suite overlooking the plaza. We did not see any other rooms but did notice that part of the hotel is contained in another building down Calle Insurgentes. Honestly, for the price book the suite. It's wonderful. We would certainly stay here again and again. To comment on other reviews though:
-The staff do not speak English. You're in Mexico. Learn some Spanish.
-It is a very old beautiful building. Yes there is no air conditioning. You're in the mountains. You don't need it. The hot water takes a while (like a long while) to get to your bathroom.
-Yes it is noisy. The hotel is in El Centro. If you want peace and quite, don't stay in El Centro. We absolutely adored opening the windows and watching/listening to the world go by.
Important things to note:
-No elevator.
-Great wifi AND cable TV!
-EXCELLENT service!
-AMAZING rooftop (although we were upset that the hot tub was not turned on during our visit).
-NO PARKING. There are some private parking lots nearby (we paid MEX $150/night for a motorcycle). However keep in mind these fill up AND on the weekends the Transitos close El Centro and you WILL NOT be able to get near the hotel in a vehicle. Honestly, you're better off parking a short walk away. Walking is by far the fastest means of transportation in El Centro.
-The hotel has a scooter for rent for MEX $400/day. I wish we had known this!!!
Seriously, this hotel is amazing. Just consider the location when booking. It is in the middle of everything. You will get the pros and cons of that.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great little rooftop. Aldo makes an amazing margarita. The view is gorgeous, drink prices reasonable. Even have a hot tub. Well..warm lol. Just ring the doorbell at the entry. They keep the door locked since its next to bank machines. Thanks for your hospitality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am very disappointed in the customer service offered at this hotel as well as with Booking.com. I booked a room and immediately after booking realized that the accommodations were not a fit and I tried to cancel the reservation to book something else that is a fit. I found out that even though the reservation is two months away and I tried to cancel the reservation instantly that this hotel accepts NO cancellations NO matter how fast you cancel or how far out the reservation is. Booking.com also does not have a cancellation policy in place to ensure people who use their site are are fully protected for a full refund within a reasonable amount of time. Now Im either stuck with a space that will not maximize the enjoyment of my vacation or I can lose $701.00 over accidentally booking the wrong type of accommodations and spend another $701.00 to book the accommodations that will maximize the enjoyment of my trip. Very disappointed in the unreasonableness of both the hotel and Booking.com. I would strongly caution booking a stay at this hotel as well as using Booking.com. If the hotel is this unreasonable about accommodating a full refund for a reservation that is two months away, I can only imagine what the actual hotel service is like when staying there. The attitude is, O well tough luck! Stay or don’t stay either way we have your money! Did I mention there is still a pandemic happening! I expect better from businesses! Especially when the request is ABSOLUTELY reasonable and within reasonable time!
