★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This hostel is owned by one across the street... Hostal Akumal, which has a super chill vibe. Akumal is old and rustic and this one is brand new. I love the room interior, as it is new... modern and minimal.
Based on the vibe of the people who stay here... most preferred Akumal as there are more people with the same vibe there... this may be due to the fact that this one is new and hasn’t built up reputation yet. But it is a very cool place to stay and the rooms are new and nice. There is no hot water or ac here.
Every morning at 9:30 they do a free family breakfast and once a week they do a barbecue or family dinner.
I stayed here for 7 full nights and loved it. Meet someone amazing here that became my travel partner.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The hostal is great. The brother and sister who run it are super welcoming and help you relax as soon as you arrive.
The location is perfect since it’s nice and quiet at night but still very close to all the other stuff.
Stayed at the private room and it was very comfortable, the family breakfast every morning was also nice. I don’t have pictures of the hostal but I do have a video of the balance boards they have there. I would definitely return. ????♂️??♂️????

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great hosts and a nice environment to meet people while not being a noisy party type of place. The private rooms are a very good size and everything was clean and well maintained. The hosts are very helpful and helped to organise group events. Location is good, close to beach and the main section of bars and restaurants. I didnt take the breakfasts myself but they looked plentiful and tasty

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We really enjoyed our stay here. A sister and brother run the place and they are laidback, always happy to help make your stay more enjoyable. They also organize events every day or two for people staying there. For example, going to see a movie at the beach together. They will also help organize a trip if you want to go on a tour somewhere with others. They have a kitten and puppy that are very fun. The breakfast was very good although they were on island time. Nice vibe, good people staying there. I liked the outdoor shower they had which was the only way to get sand off me after swimming at the beach.
