Intimate and cozy, close to all the best shopping, restaurants and things to do in San Miguel. We love breakfast on the terrace or chilling out in the jacuzzi with a glass of wine in the evening.

Big Room, cozy, nice location near interesting sites, simple, humble, basic, not luxury, no amenities, no bar, pool or neither restaurant. Just a place to rest and go the next day to explore the city.

Poor customer service and shady! I made a reservation for April 19 - 21 and I requested a cancellation and refund. They have ignored me. I have now sent 4 emails and now emails are bouncing back. Did they close? – I want my money back!

The staff were genuinely interested making our stay a happy experience. They are friendly and accommodating! The rooms are very rustic and comfortable. There is no air conditioning but even at 30 degree temperatures it was not needed. We were able to hear the bells from all of the churches close by easily. This is not good in the early hours of the morning. The Internet was very weak and we had to be in certain areas to be able to get good wi-fi.

Friendly staff and a clean room. It also has a charming entry and courtyard. But there is a lot of deferred maintenance. The room door didn't close correctly, and there was a lot of noise that would come in. Loose toilet seat and a very slow sink drain (they fixed the drain on the second day). There is also no central heat or AC. We requested a heater and they promptly brought one. It was convenient to all of Centro, there was someone at the front desk 24 hours, and the price couldn't be beat. For a basic no-frills stay, this is fine option.

Wifi great in the common areas but near useless in the rooms. Small hotel, only 9 units. Nice renovation job. My room had a tub, which is not common, with tons of hot water, also a rarity.

The hotel is very pretty, though the roof terrace looked more like a place where the gardener and cleaners stored stuff. It wasn't welcoming with seating or anything...quite surprising as different from the photos. The staff was very friendly, and tried to help. Our first room, the one we'd booked, was a king suite. The toilet would not flush. So, the girl from the desk came to look at it. She returned with a plunger, though it wasn't stopped up, it just wasn't working properly. She worked on it for about 15 or 20 minutes. She then left. Trying to flush it again a while later, it didn't flush. So, luckily, she showed up again, wondering how it was working. We told her that it wasn't. It wouldn't flush. Period. I then told her that we were ready to go out, and did they have another room we could quickly move to, as we wanted to see San Miguel, not deal with hotel repairs. She said they had no other rooms. To that I replied, "so we are to stay in a hotel room this afternoon, overnight, and tomorrow morning, without a working toilet ?" She then checked and said they had a room we could move to. So, our king suite turned into a room with a double bed. No offers for refund or anything. And, we fixed that toilet ourselves, after a few tries, in the new room. The rooms are clean, which is great. There is no coffee maker. There is no wifi in the rooms, either room. We tried wifi on an iphone, ipad, and samsung phone, all to no avail. They then told us that there is no wifi in the rooms. The phones won't even work for internet searching, in the rooms. They state on their website, as well as Expedia, that there is free wifi in the rooms, and self parking on site. Neither of these things are true. Their valet parking takes almost an hour for car retrieval. The Centro is very close, very easy to walk to, so the location is great. Just remember, no wifi, no parking, no coffee, no hair dryers, no phones in the rooms to call the front desk, no room service...But great location, and pretty, clean rooms, with nice staff.

Lovely hotel with very accommodating staff that was helpful throughout our stay and went out of their way to help us organise some tapas in the evening, despite the hotel not serving any food. Rooms are very traditional with rural Mexican charme, not fancy at all, but very cozy and tidy. Great for a technological detox, as wifi is practically not working and both telcel and moviestar reception was practically unusable for Internet. Ideal for a couple of nights in San Miguel de Allende - I'm sure we'll be back next time we're in town.
