Casa Quetzal Hotel - 97780 Valladolid

Very nice accommodations. Enjoyed courtyard and breakfast.

Oh my goodness. This hotel is amazing. The courtyard area is so nice, it’s like a little oasis. The rooms have so much character and are clean. The rooms have air conditioning units which work very well. The WiFi is good. The water pressure in the showers and the temperature were great. The beds were comfortable. The location is great—it is near the Valladolid letters and the convent. It’s an easy 15 minute walk to the main plaza and the street you walk down, Calzada de los Frailes, is colorful and clean and nice to walk down. It is quiet at night and the hotel is easy to find. The staff is so kind and accommodating. One of the receptionists, Mirsha, gave me her WhatsApp number so I could message her any questions. She helped us find a local covid testing site so we could return to the US, she printed a paper for us that our airline needed, she answered a million questions I had, and helped me buy a beautiful Otomi artwork to make into my own pillow as a special reminder of our time in Valladolid. We stayed in two different rooms because the room we wanted was already booked the first night, and housekeeping moved our suitcases for us. As we were leaving, we asked for a photo and the receptionist at the time, Marcos, took one for us. We also got a massage and thoroughly enjoyed that. I cannot say enough good things about the staff and this hotel! I can’t wait to return in the future. One piece of advice for guests: we stayed in the standard room and the king suite. The standard room has a full bed, and my boyfriend is 6 feet tall, so his feet hung off the bed (which is the usual for him). If you are 6 feet tall, you should go for the rooms with a queen or king bed :)

I loved my stay at Casa Quetzal. We stayed three nights in the "cabin Quetzal" which has a big private terrace and a hamac. It was calm and beautifully decorated. The cabin is surrounded by a wonderful garden full of trees, flowers and birds. The staff is super nice and they serve a delicious breakfast every morning nearby the swimming pool. A relaxing place you want to come back to!

?Do not use the website - as it takes you to a different hotel in Guanajuato with the same name Casa Quetzal. When you arrive to the Hotel in Villadolid you won’t have a reservation as you booked the one in Guanajuato. Call the hotel to confirm that your reservation is in Villadolid.

Really nice hotel and great value for your money right across from the convent and two blocks from la calzada de los frailes. Will certainly stay again. The breakfast included is just continental but fairly good nonetheless.

Clean rooms with OK wifi (the signal was better outside the rooms). AC worked great, shower pressure was ok. The beds were too small for 2 people. We had a room near the street so it was noisy in the mornings. Breakfast was basic. Area is convenient, and felt safe. It was a nice walk to the town centre. Parking was available.

My friend and I stayed in Quetzal during our trip in Valladolid and loved everything about this charming hotel. Location is very central and convenient, a nice walk away from the ideal town center. The common spaces looked really authentic, reflective of the local vibe, very green. The rooms were spacious, clean and cosy. The staff was super helpful - they assisted with booking great tours and provided excellent restaurant recommendations. Special thanks to Mirsha for arranging our trips to Chichenitza and Rio Lagartos! In summary, our stay was delightful and we would return. Do not miss, especially if you are looking for a more local experience.

Had a great stay. Large room and bathroom, nicely decorated. The still is a bountiful garden with pool. 15min walk from central square which is great, early reached by car. Friendly staff and great service.
