★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place was simply magical and made some incredible friends in our stay at Sol y Luna! A must and well recommend place to visit also a must try their boat tour around the beautiful lake of Bacalar - it's a four hour and detail tour. ?

Great property with great views. Jonathan has a wealth of knowledge about the surrounding area. Ideal for kids. Very friendly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very nice place.... it’s basically a bed & breakfast, which I really didn’t understand when I booked the place, but it was a very nice stay. We had the 1st floor room with the bathroom outside of the bedroom, and if I were recommending the place to anyone else I’d say pay extra for the private bathroom.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had a wonderful 3 night stay at Casa Sol y Luna and were made to feel completely at home from the moment we arrived.
The room we stayed in was really spacious, had great AC, a private bathroom and beautiful terrace with lounge chairs overlooking the lake ~ the location really couldn’t be more perfect. Fernanda, her family and the staff were incredibly welcoming with great tips for things to do and see on Laguna Bacalar and they were even happy to share their kitchen with us so we could cook meals there (which was such a bonus as it meant we got to sit under the moonlight overlooking the lake every evening). Overall we loved our time here and would definitely recommend staying here as it’s like a home from home.

Try kayaking and have a trip on Jerry’s boat alongside the Laguna.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Awesome place with a really nice host. It is located directly next to the lagoon with an awesome view. The breakfast is good and the rooms are spacious and clean. We enjoyed our time there and would recommend it to everyone who wants to stay for some days in bacalar.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Stayed here for two nights and enjoyed every second! Location of the house and facilities were great and all was very cosy. The view to the lake was amazing and the host Jonathan with his family were very welcoming and friendly in hosting us. They have everything you need, a option to rent kayaks, lake view terraces and swimming pool in the backyard. They also offer very tasty breakfast and best suggestions for local food places. You can also arrange awesome and unique boat tour in the Bacalar lake which takes multiple hours and will increase your knowledge on the local ecosystem and surrounding areas and also provide you with the insights on local culture and perspective of people living there or in Mexico in general. Wish to come back here some day, thank you! Paldies! :)
