★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Great off the beaten path Casa overlooking the Buenavista Balneario or park . There are three suites to choose from all have the same great view one has a complete kitchen , comfy beds and their own full baths . The Casa has solar showers , plenty of ventilation from the breezes off the lagoon . Waking up here is a real treat as it’s also home to many birds . There is also a small wading pool , charcoal grill and lots of chairs and loungers to just enjoy nature from the patio . Come check it out I’m sure you’ll have a great stay . Casa Tucán is located just 25 km north of Bacalar in the village of Buenavista, both Chacchoben ruin and cenote Azul are just a short drive away . Come see what real Mexico is all about .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Lovely place, super quiet. Stayed in the lower suite, it was cool & comfortable. The village is clean and charming. Very close to Bacalar which is very touristy so it's easy to experience that stuff, then escape & relax. Also very close to ruins of Chacchoben. Go later so you miss any cruise ship tours from Mahahual! You'll have the place to yourself.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Amazing place: peaceful, clean, spacious, with lovely outdoor areas with facilities such as a small swimming pool and hammocks. The balcony offers a lovely view on the lake, and the village is lovely. The owners are super friendly and helpful, they tried their best to make us feel welcomed. Would definitely go back! Highly recommended!
