★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My sister and I are here 4 1/2 years ago and had a great meal. My husband and I returned today and the menu is entirely different. It seems to appeal more to tourists and gave me a somewhat tourist trap vibe. Mestizo and Casa Mercedes are two restaurants that are amazing and I’d recommend over Casa Valadez.

However, the service leaves a lot to be desired even with 7 tables and 10 waiters our server didn’t come by our table to check on us. They were very slow to bring me coffee which they literally they just had to pour out of a jar so lord know why they couldn’t do that first. The prices are decent but the food had no flavor. I will give them the presentation is one of the best. However, the flavor very disappointing. I would skip this place.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Casa Valadez is a very nice restaurant specialized in Mexican and, Japanese-style dishes. It always deserves your visit when you're in Guanajuato. Enchiladas (something like a fancy taco, way more sophisticated) are something you have to taste, and they make them in various types, all of them very good. Japanese food, though, was outstanding. It ranks up there with the very best you can find. Casa Valadez is, easily, Guanajuato's best place to eat.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Best chicken enchiladas I have ever had! The mole enchiladas were good but the green sauce enchiladas were super flavorful and delicious! The food was five out of five stars but I took one star off because I felt the servers were not respectful of my space when serving. I felt my personal space was intruded.
