Value for money really not good, the wifi is terrible and we did not feel very comfortable in this house. The bathroom was a disaster.
E	Estaralive ! on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Casitas bacalar es un excelente sitio para la estadía en la laguna. Las instaly son muy cómodas y lindas. El colchón es excelente!!! David (el dueño) y Esther (trabaja allí) te atienden con mucha amabilidad, a la mañana Esther prepara desayuno de tostadas con pan de masa madre y mermelada casera, jugo de naranja recién exprimido y café de olla, todo riquísimo. La casa tiene una cocina muy linda. Los baños son compartidos pero los limpian a diario. La casa se encuentra a 100 metros de la entrada pública a la laguna, que para mi gusto es uno de los sitios más lindos de la laguna. Esta a cuatro cuadras del centro de bacalar, donde podrán encontrar restaurantes, bares, mercado de artesanos, el fuerte etc. En general una excelente experiencia. Volvería seguro! Casitas Bacalar is an excellent place to stay in the lagoon. The instaly are very comfortable and cute. The mattress is excellent !!! David (the owner) and Esther (works there) serve you with great kindness, in the morning Esther prepares breakfast of toast with sourdough bread and homemade jam, freshly squeezed orange juice and pot coffee, all delicious. The house has a very nice kitchen. Bathrooms are shared but are cleaned daily. The house is 100 meters from the public entrance to the lagoon, which for my taste is one of the most beautiful places in the lagoon. It is four blocks from the center of Bacalar, where you can find restaurants, bars, artisan market, the fort, etc. Overall an excellent experience. I would go back for sure!

Estuve con mi esposo en una habitación con baño privado que carecía de elementos muy básicos y escenciales como una puerta o cansel en la regadera y un tapete de baño lo que hace que cuando te bañes salga toda el agua de la regadera y se encharque el baño horrible. La cama es cómoda pero el tema del baño hace que tu estancia no sea tan agradable. No hay muebles para colocar la ropa. El desayuno es bastante pobre, café de olla, pan y una mermelada súper X. El Wifi es pésimo. Hay mejores lugares en Bacalar. Nosotros preferimos salir un día antes porque nos pareció incómodo, aparte de todola señora que hace el aseo parece sentirse invadida por los huéspedes, ya que lleva a sus invitados y tú cómo huésped tienes que cuidar de no incomodarla en las instalaciones que son pocas o limitadas cuando hay varios huepedes. La cocina es hermosa y el colchón súper cómodo, fuera de eso no lo recomiendo. wifi pésimo. It could be a place with a lot of potential however it lacks basics like. I was with my husband in a room with a private bathroom that lacked very basic and essential elements such as a door or canel in the shower and a bathroom mat, which means that when you take a shower, all the water comes out of the shower and the bathroom becomes flooded. awful. The bed is comfortable but the bathroom issue makes your stay not so pleasant. There is no furniture to place clothes. The breakfast is quite poor, pot coffee, bread and a super X jam. The Wi-Fi is lousy. There are better places in Bacalar. We prefer to leave a day earlier because we found it uncomfortable, apart from everything the lady who does the cleaning seems to feel invaded by the guests, since she brings her guests and you as a guest have to take care not to bother her in the facilities that are few or limited when there are several guests. The kitchen is beautiful and the mattress is super comfortable, other than that I don't recommend it. lousy wifi.
S	Sumner Hobart on Google ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Where do I even start... My wife and I were looking for an affordable hotel/hostel in Bacalar for 4 days and came across Casitas Bacalar. Upon arrival we were personally greeted by David, the manager, and given a tour of the facilities as well as some amazing insider tips into the area. David was extremely hospitable, always willing to serve and go out of his way for guests. He even prepared literally the best sourdough bread and Mexican-style coffee I've ever had in my life (not an exaggeration). As the days went on we came to know David, his family, and his story more and more and ultimately developed what we believe will be a lifelong friendship. David is a special guy. Casitas Bacalar and the area is a VERY special place - much better people and things to do than Tulum and Cancun in our opinion. Can't recommend enough. Support local families > big chains. Four days prior to checking in, the property canceled both of our reservations with no explanation, leaving us scrambling to find a place to stay last minute. Absolutely unprofessional.

After texting Rocio on WhatsApp she immediately called us, explained the situation and worked hard to solve it in the best way possible. She was super worried but also really helpful and made our trip very convenient and relaxing. I’m very sure that you will enjoy staying with her since she’s so caring ❤️ Thank you again and see you another time Andi & Catja
