Casona Alonso 10 - 36000 Guanajuato

This is one of my favorite hotels in Mexico. Perfectly located in the heart of Guanajuato. Clean with a great staff.

Alonso 10 is a Nice place to take a breakfast and at night there is a musician that plays the piano and is a very colonial place with spanish architechture, is a quiet place with kind service. But there is a small variety of food so Alonso 10 is not a place to eat every day.

The management and staff at Alonso were amazing. They were extremely helpful and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort. Lots of stairs, but we'll worth the stay. Centrally located in the heart of Guanajuato.

The perfect place to spend your holidays, right in the heart of the city, everything within walking distance. The cocine is just delicious!!! real Mexican food, with home taste, don't forget to eat the traditional Enchiladas Mineras. the rooms are spacious, and the mattresses are amazing! looking to go back there!

If you get a hotel to have a good night sleep, then do yourself a huge favor and do not stay here. The hotel rooms are deserving of a three star rating because they are well furnished and medium sized with air-conditioning and heat as well as satilite TV. However, the hotel is very close to a Bar that plays music past 3AM which penetrates into all the rooms. The staff is aware of the noise and does nothing but suggest that it might end soon. I cannot stress how annoying the constant booming of the accoustics are even with pillows over your ears. DO NOT STAY here is you like a quite room to sleep.

We first arrived at this hotel one day and left our luggage in our room and went to enjoy the city. Once we came back we saw that our luggage had gone missing. During the time we left the room, the cameras were mysteriously not working in our specific area. It seems like a weird coincidence. We spoke with the manager Sergio Guerrero as well as Mauricio Barradas who both said would contact me. I have yet to hear anything from them. They both said they were going to inquire with their insurance about the loss. Neither person wanted to give me any information about the insurance and refused to help me after that. We lost over $7000 of valuables. I spent the whole night filing a police report and instead of relaxing and resting on vacation I couldn't wait to get home. I do not recommend this hotel to any person because its been three months and i am still waiting for a response.

A wonderful historic atmosphere: very beautifully decorated. Not only was the food amazing, but it was really well priced. Our children raved about their meals, especially the omelette and orange juice. My husband said the hot chocolate was some of the best that he has had.

Stayed here in sept. 2019 and we loved it! Beautiful and cozy hotel near downtown.
