Estilo barroco novohispano decoración muy sobria sin recargarse en su ornamentación
Sede del Arzobispo de Irapuato, muchos matrimonios y ceremonias seon celebradas allí
Tuvo un atrio pero este fue demolido en los años 60 para construir la plaza Hidalgo
