It is a good place to spend some time on the Day of the Dead.
There is parking at the entrance of the town, in front of the trajineras, so that is not a problem.
You find a lot of tradition throughout the town, and especially in the pantheon. There is a temporary exhibition in the museum, which is very well organized. The typical food, the corn, everything, everything is very tasty.
Unfortunately there is a very large tianguis that already looks like Tepito, because you only find clothes for sale, and other things that are not traditional, many houses with small shops of micheladas and beers and it is a scandal of electronic music and reggaeton. Which is extremely regrettable.
But you still find some of the typical houses with their altars of the dead open to the public, in addition, in elementary school they make the altar larger and accompany it with dancing.
The pantheon is full of candles and is a favorite place for night photography. I had the opportunity to see a tent with typical music of the date, quite nice.
Conclusion: It is a very busy place but with a lot of tradition.
It is worth going.

The night until dawn on November 2 was closed, when all the media said that it would be open until Wednesday afternoon. In the flea market there is nothing more than vintage jammed food (all expensive), sadly almost no tradition (even the music, only reggaeton and that kind of garbage); lots of people without masks and total chaos to get in and out of there.

On the day of the dead they don't even let you see the tombs, the locals with gangdalism in prices and things of very poor quality, it's not a good idea to go on the day of the dead at all

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I'd not go there again. It's very busy, Sellers are everywhere and it's impossible to get back to CDMX. Not worth it - there are cemeteries in CDMX that you can visit and they are as colourful as this one but without sellers and stands everywhere. Almost 2 hours drive - believe me it's not worth it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Don’t do it. It’s not worth it with the insane amount of people. Hours in line to get into the cemetery not to mention the mess getting in and out of town.
